Your CPU is pretty much the equal to mine and I had been running LODs at 2.00.

Since WU6 I tried LODs at 3.00 with scenery caching on Ultra and saw very little difference in cpu stress. You're running a MUCH stronger gpu so you should easily be able to run 2.00 or higher.

Do we know what the downsides of Ultra are?  I use that as well and track ir is once again a joy to use.

I haven't found any downsides, have you? It has completely eliminated the severe stutters when panning with track ir and so far I've seen nothing that would lead me to change from Ultra.

As far as MY experience, I really don't care what others have experienced as long as my settings work for me.

It is already set to ULTRA...

200 LOD (or 2 I guess) is a bit much for my cpu.  I lose about 20-30% fps and it introduces more stutters.

I wonder what the maximum LOD value is. Has anyone tried 9 or 10?

Since PG has been extended in the latest update, does this mean I can set my LOD values to 100 and still be able to see downtown buildings out in the distance?

I'm assuming that the extended PG distance isn't tied to the LOD settings.
