I think it's time for a thread as it is less than 24 hours till we get some major reveals, but also, where to watch? Thanks in advance!

From what can be gathered so far LR worked on a new lighting, atmospherics, weather, clouds and vegetation pipelines. There should be some major auto-gen overhaul as well, so hopefully we get to see finally everything together.

Other stuff they teased so far (previous presentations/interviews), FMOD sounds and Particles for scenery, better texturing schemes for art assets, better terrain,  ATC/AI, Airport Services (moving jetways etc...).

At some point I also asked about water on the Slack channel and Ben answered this is something they will work on, but I'm not sure as it somehow ended by Ben not wanting Sidney to say the "r word" (ray tracing), this is a pure speculation but who knows...they did mention at the blog that we are yet to see the full lighting FX.

Unless I'm missing something, that's just the same shot as in Xplane11 cover.

It is not a fatality and this topic could have been going just in the direction of sharing some form of excitement among simmers, but I believe I understand your point. I'm sorry for disturbing the peace 🤐

I am VERY interested in what LR and LM have to show. I know new XP is coming. I also want P3D v6 though... whatever THAT one will mean. So hopefully LM also announce a new one. 

I would not let yourself be hoodwinked by a sales pitch.  If you go back to X Plane 10 what was promised?  New lighting and FMOD sounds.  Now it's 5 years later and now what's new?   New lighting and FMOD sounds!!   We even have the same sales picture!

Given Austin has increased the core team, got an army of cheap, outsourced coders (?) and it’s been over a year since the last big XP11 upgrade, I’m betting we can expect something exciting.

Based on your expectations and previous posts, I'm going to guess nothing will please you either way . Just watch and see

Personally looking forward to it and pretty excited about the next version.
