Is Live traffic still out?

Live traffic over Nashville seems ok atm.

Do you have planes landing, taking off and taxiing to the gates or runways?

no planes will take off, that's broken. Landing and taxing to gates works, if the airport has big enough parking spots.

Live Traffic back on Ohio....

Worked for about 20 minutes, and then back off again.

Good question, I didn’t actually see. Currently having a quick jaunt in the same area (KTHA) and there’s lots of AI activity on the ATC and planes are showing on the VFR map, but I can’t actually see any planes out of the window. Certainly no nav lights.

No sir, I do not have the traffic that’s 500ft above me, 12:00 at 4nms in sight…

Personaly I'm not so interested in (life) traffic.

But do you guys see this as an essential part of simming?

Yes traffic is key.   In the real world, traffic is a high priority focus of pilots.

I've found that its extremely hard to spot traffic unless you have labels turned on, or they soar by your windshield so close it makes the dog yelp.

Had a nice little surprise this morning. Was getting ready for the descent into ZJHK when ATC warned me of an aircraft at my 8 o'clock, a couple of thousand feet below and less than a mile. Was also seeing it on the PFD (or is it the MFD? I'm not sure of what's what with all that stuff). Popped out to the external view and looked down. Sure enough, there's an aircraft a couple of thousand feet below me. With a contrail! Neat! Watched it for a minute and heard ATC warning that plane about me! Coolness.

But then it just up and disappeared. Ah well, I guess they are still experiencing issues with live AI traffic. I did see a few other aircraft on the PFD and heard ATC giving them instructions along with their responses. Couldn't see them as they were a few miles away. Would be nice to get nav lights back on live AI traffic. I refuse to use labels as that just doesn't look right. 😉

PS. The ILS for ZJHK is offset about 100 meters to the right of the runway. Had to cancel the autoland and bring it in myself. Might be time for me to learn how to fix that and send it Flightsim.to...

Yeah, I think the LOD / pop in on the models was always a little tardy, but never had a problem with nav lights before, they always seemed to display at a reasonable distance. Currently I’m not sure I see any anywhere except for my own.

I see the Live Traffic is still spotty at best. Works for a few minutes, and then poof, all the aircraft disappear.  This has been going on for almost a week. There seems to be some traffic around large airports, but in between airports, nothing.

China is a real mess in MSFS. Lots of outdated imagery so airports are fairly inaccurate, missing terminals, runways. Some are missing completely, some exist that shouldn't anymore.

There's also some that visible on the sat imagery, but just don't exist in the sim.

Yeah, I've noticed. Flew into another airport with an offset ILS. I think I'll leave well enough alone and hopefully a future world update will improve things. Was just passing through on my way around the world anyway. 😉

But good news is that I'm seeing a decent amount of live traffic!

I only have AI aircrafts that is landing, but they all disappear into thin air on the runway.
