WINDOWS 11 COLLABORATION
To celebrate the launch of Windows 11, from October 19th to November 18th, we have selected 11 landmarks across the globe that will be lit up in “Windows Blue” within Microsoft Flight Simulator. In addition, we are releasing a special Windows 11 themed livery for the EXTRA 330LT for simmers to add to their collection.

I am glad WorkingTitle kept their promise and released their G1000 NXi update simultaneously, latest version 0.8.0. need to download it separately from your content manager, as usual.

It would be great if my rig could run WIN 11 , but sadly it won't .

It’s not installing windows 11, it’s some building overlays that are illuminated in Win11 colours.

It’s clear in the release notes. 😒

Windows 11 has colors now? Does that mean I have to upgrade my old B/W TV now? That sucks!

My 7.5GB download of the MS store version gets to the 98% point, does some decompressing, then jumps back to the 84% point. It repeats this 84 to 98 percent cycle over and over.

Well, after letting the above cycle repeat for 45 min I finally gave up and restarted the sim. This time I had a 16.85GB download instead of the original 7.5 GB download, and this new download completed. Strange.  I don't understand why the 7.5GB download changed into a 16.85 GB download.  So I'm not sure if I have ended up with a valid MSFS MS store update (It does say I have ver 1.20.6.0), guess I will find out the hard way. I was also able to complete the seven or so updates listed in the Content Manager.

I'm just reporting this in case someone else with the MS store ver of MSFS runs into a similar issue with the original 7.5GB download.

Likely corrupted file this happened with last update SU6 as well to some...

SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

In my case the update was actually 2 updates....

I now always start MFS through the xBox client, so, I start xBox, then my only game there which is MFS, click on the icon, MFS starts... Usually I close the xBox window as the game starts to load, but this time I even left it opened... After MFS started loading an update notice popped up, I pushed a 12+ MB update, the sim started, I didn't even check the version number and rushed testing a few items a friend on the Beta Team had mentioned to be updated - they all turned out to be in the exact same ( poor ) state as they were before 😕

After commenting it was the same that friend told me it was really strange and that  I should have noticed the new roll rates for aerobatic aircraft, as well as some differences on ground friction...

"Hmmmmm..." I thought to myself... And I decided to start xBox, then Game Store, and from Game Store start MFS... Woops!!! A new small ( MB-ish ) update of the main app was issued, it downloaded and installed and then, as MFS was started again, a 8GB update was then announced, which I pushed, installed and went testing. This turn around the menntioned modifications were perceptible. I am still about to check the supposed new "ground effect" window in Dev Mode, but, it's now updated to SU6 and it took two update processes - rather weird 😕
