November 10, 20214 yr Now that the AIG beta is filling up my airports I’m getting a hankering to start editing the AFCAD files for my favourite airports to better reflect reality. I feel like I had seen a beta of a tool to do this in MSFS some time ago but it can’t remember for sure. Has anyone tried messing around with this in MSFS? I did a lot of airports in FSX/P3D so if it’s a similar approach I should be able to start cranking out some improved files, hopefully for public consumption. November 10, 20214 yr I think this will be necessary. I see some irregular motions of ai a/c at some airports. November 10, 20214 yr I tried opening the .bgl with the MSFS2020 ade for latinvfr kfll and all I can see are the ILS beams and nothing else. I was able to load what I think is the stock file and updated some parking spots. The aircraft seemed to park correctly but then I had other issues like double jetways and taxiways were now off on the grass. I can't figure out how to open the correct file to change the parking codes for the payware airport Edited November 10, 20214 yr by DaveS David

November 10, 20214 yr Honestly, this AFCAD issues only show me that the lack of a proper AI traffic basis in MSFS is not only due to "legal issues" with all the airlines or aircraft manufacturers like Asobo wants us to believe, but mere inability to provide a good AI traffic basis. If it would really be just the "legal issues" that have prevented Asobo from delivering the "real ai traffic" they promised, they could have at least invested some effort to get those things right, but no. To me, the state of the AI traffic basis in MSFS simply proves that Asobo has no clue about what they are doing in regard of AI traffic and looking for cheap excuses why they did not deliver what they promised. I used to have a good spreadsheet somewhere with generally used radii for common AI traffic models.
