The only thing I find annoying is that there are so many "tutorials" video and otherwise, out there recommending completely contradictory suggestions for in-sim settings to best work with this addon.

The actual instructions from the developers seem silent on the issue, or at least I have not found their recommendation's.

AIG AIM is providing flightplans, SimObjects and Repaints that work for offline AI and the Sim live/online AI

Offline AI:

Disable your internal Sim AI (AI Modus OFF)

AIGTC will inject your local installed offline traffic

Online AI

Enable your internal Ai for online/live

Do not start AIGTC

The internal system will match the installed models/repaints to the online flights

And this is just what I mean. The instructions are incomplete/piecemeal.

What about the rest of the MSFS traffic options, such as Airport Life and AI and Multiplayer Traffic Detail?

Multiple videos show varying settings as the ones recommended to make the tool work its best.

What isn't mentioned, doesn't matter for the tool to work. Simple as that. Everything you have to set is clearly laid out in the pdf-manual, even with pictures. It's complete, step by step. The manual isn't the prettiest or most intuitive, but it is complete letter-by-letter. I really do admire @Kaiii3 for staying positive and calm, while a lot of people who don't bother to read the manual for his freeware (!) mod behave like angry customers. This is not an attack on you personally, HiFlyer, but in general. I don't consider it thriving human greatness that people want everything to just "function" without the least of effort by the user.

If you want to use MSFS live traffic, then set it to Real-Time Online and do not use the AIGTC.

If you want to use the AIG provided flightplanes, then set it to Off and use AIGTC to inject traffic.

You may believe so, but judging by the multiple threads in multiple venues over multiple days, its probably safe to assume there's is a significant amount of confusion, especially with multiple "authoritative" guides saying contradictory things.

Heck, just today I watched two videos, one from somebody who apparently had a preview copy, and one released today, that said completely opposite things about some of the sim graphic settings.

That's why we don't listen to random persons to the internet but to professionals (in this case: the developers).

And if what the developers had written in the manual was sufficient, then there would probably be less confusion...

Case in point: the included pdf is clear about the tool itself, and yes, includes pictures as well.

But says nada about the internal sim settings, which is probably where a good 90% of the confusion, above and beyond the initial setup, is coming from.

Even one picture of what they wanted the internal sim settings to be, would have helped.

Our milage may vary, but I don't really believe asking for clarification is the same as "Asking everything to function without the least effort by the user."

I must apologize, I was sure I saw pictures of the MSFS menu settings in the manual, must have been somewhere else (discord?). This of course changes my initial assumption and I have to agree with you that the manual is not (yet) sufficient, which unfortunately complicates things. Again, sorry for my undeserved rant.

It wasn't included in the manual, but they released a statement afterwards stating what to set the sim to.

It’s all a bit of a bug fest. I mean I love the effort that has been put in to it, but, why release it now? Why not wait until Asobo fix the bugs? Why not polish it off a little and release it with a proper video/pdf guide? I’m sure there would be loads of people willing to help with the latter?

PS, I am not having a go, great addon, I am just  expressing my genuine opinion.

The funny part is that I heard there was such a post, and visited the site several times without finding it.

Unfortunately, where that needs to be is in the tutorial included with the program.

I agree, this is too buggy for release right now, I have remove it and will wait for the final release.
