In PSXT I have ticked 'light aircraft in 'Extra Aircraft Categories'. In Foreflight on my iPad I see GA traffic plotted - I see the GA traffic plotted in the RT map, just not in MSFS. Anybody seen this and solved it? I got GA working by including the 4 Asobo generics, the Cesna 172, and the H135 helicopter. I made copies of each, put them in their own directories and modified the aircraft.cfg files for each to set IsAirTraffic to 1 and IsUserSelectable to 0. You also have to make sure the icao_type is set to something appropriated "C172" for cesna, etc. The Asobo generics all have this set to something like "ASOBOxxx". For the single engine piston generic, I made it a BE36 for the Bonanza 36. Finally, I edited the database file in the PSXT directories to match similar types into groups. I put all of the high wing single props into one line with the C172 included. Now ingame, whenever RT finds a plane in that list it represents it with a C172, which is fine for now with immersion. After doing all of this I have plenty of activity at GA fields and even some helicopters flying around. I'm at work now, if people are interested I'll write another post with more specific detail to show you step by step once I'm home with access to the actual files. ... TLDR.. it can be now now with everything as it is 🙂 ... and its glorious! Love PSXT!!!

February 2, 20224 yr I can't believe that people actually would rather buy an ai package that costs money and has ugly models than to try AIG program for free. Their program has taken the ai possibilities to a whole new level. The models are great and accurate and have many special liveries that dedicated people worked hard to bring us. This program was such a long-time dream for ai lovers and it's finally here. I think these people deserve a whole lot of credit and gratitude. I wish everyone would install and use AIG, that way they can see what an asset this is. I have used AIG since P3D and would be lost without it. I hope that development can continue because there are lots of people that are really happy that we have this.

I love AIG as well and Kaii deserves super kudos for his work - please pardon me that I have singled out PSXT in my post above - AIG is an AWESOME tool as well, and I am most remiss for not throwing more appreciation his way (actually I hope Kaii is a 'he'.. if not my second apology 😉 ) The only difference in what I (and others above) are doing is that it is showing you real live traffic (right down to the actual taxi to the gate) that is happening in the world approx 40 seconds ago (or actually up to several days in the past if you use the history feature). It uses the AIG models and liveries but places them according to live traffic in a similar fashion to the live traffic option in game only that RT is more accurate and complete with what's going on at any given moment... and it BETTER be, since it does cost money 🙂 Of course you can always use AIG's AI flightplans - JUST as valid. What I have been thoroughly enjoying with the AIG/PSXT/RT combo, however is to run it while listening to LiveATC.com for the tower of the airport I'm at. Theres a neat trick using the VLC media player where you can add a delay to the feed - 40s is about right - and when you do so, the planes on screen react in realtime to the pilots and the ATC commmands. Including things like being stuck on the apron waiting for a gate to clear. I went all in and did the full AIG install so its been pretty spot on with the airline and equipment matching. Its total nerdville time, but its friggen fun if you like this kind of stuff. My brother in law flies for Delta. I'm going to stalk him next time he goes out and check out his technique 🙂 Edited February 2, 20224 yr by VFXSimmer

Expect continual development post release and, eventually, GA planes. The downside will probably be that it will not interact with ATC.
February 2, 20224 yr Flying in an approach in a traffic queue is something I really like with PSXT+RT and knowing that those ac are flying around me are there too in reality ( incl all delays, go around etc ) makes it even beter. And yes I know that there is almost 30 seconds delay in the traffic feed … And AIG is better than FsTraffic which I used for years as it has much more models abd liveries. PSXT also can show a list of aircraft types/airlines that you do not have installed (will replace them with random others ) and I then download them in AIG. PSXT+RT+AIG is a perfect combo 😆 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
February 2, 20224 yr Yeah I’ve been looking into the PSXT+RT+AiG combo recently and it looks really good. I’m not convinced when JustFlight release fstraffic that it will match what’s happening in real time that well. I’ve been injecting AIG for around a month now and find that it suffers with too many go arounds. Incorporating PSXT and RT I think will solve this problem.

If i recall correctly i think Kaii commented that this is a fault with the AI in MSFS and asobo need to rectifiy the issue. So in hindsight, it's possibly an issue any taffic management software will need to overcome. I stand corrected if i am wrong. I was watching traffic at Heathrow on a foggy morning recently and saw plenty of go-arounds, but as PSXT/RT combo are injecting real traffic, what you see is exactly what is there in RW. Not about to tangle with AIG. I thought exactly that for a month because it was reported as a difficult install. I followed an install AIG video on YouTube and it went fine. It takes a while to install the liveries, but it has been painless so far. There is a server issue at the moment with a report fix in mid Feb, so you have some time to think about it 🙂 CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090 Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440 Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD External Storage Three 4Tb HDs
