Track IR they broke, and what has that accomplished?  Squat.  They couldn't care less.

And yet here is the latest development update announcing they have already fixed Track IR (which was acknowledged as broken in the release notes), among other issues, and they are conducting a public beta test to ensure it is fully fixed.

To be fair, they could have conducted a proper beta test on SU7, and then we wouldn’t be in this mess. Also, I read on the official forum just now that the weather temperature bug won’t be fixed until this new update is released; it amazes me how they can break that in the middle of a Thursday afternoon, and now we have to sit with it whilst  a flight (beta) test undertakes, of which no doubt is bound by a ridiculous NDA.

Ok, so no NDA this, however I stand by the above.

Yes, if Microsoft had allowed for it. Asobo could have fixed the Track IR bug without having a public beta test, too, because they already knew about it, before SU7 was released, if they weren't bound to the release imposed by the publisher.

Now, it looks like MS have conceded and are allowing for release flexibility in conjunction with (better) public beta testing.

That's my point here: Asobo do care, they are working on fixes, but their hands have been tied. But hopefully now, it would seem, they have been afforded more freedom to aid their development process.

Too much beating on the same dead horse. We knew this is going to be a bumpy ride, why can we just stop and instead praise them for what they have released, I for one (even with the short comings), Im quite happy, instead of throwing BS at them, I have instead learned to cope and enjoy.

Right on.

I doubt threads like this one will lead to anything, and certainly not to a reaction by MS or Asobo. If you really can hope for reckognition, write in their official forum which is at least observed by their forum managers and community manager Jane.

Your chance for acknowledgement may be better if written in a more temperate tone, perhaps.  Just my 2c.

Kind regards, Michael

The magic word here, as in everything is .... 'escalate'.

Even the pope has a boss. In this case, Asobo's boss is Microsoft. Both value their reputation. So ultimately, their bosses is the court of public opinion and company stockholders.  I bet if the complaints get printed in hard copy publication, it'll get their attention.

Imagine a newsworthy headline like: What's Wrong with French Software Development? will last a few news cycles.

Dear MS,

why do we, the general public, 15 months after the initial release, still have to beta test MSFS?

You introduced a new show stopper today with 232 Celsius above FL240.

Why is there _no_quality_control_ before you release something???? Why do you not test the code changes before release?

You certainly have the funds for a test team, after all MSFS2020 is game of the year!

I am very supportive and amazed what you have created, but please test releases!!!

It should not be a 10 year beta program for a product that people paid good money for!!!

I have a news for you ! MS unlikely to read your post, but simmers will get a lot of salt on open “wounds”! Lol We cope, move on, and hope here.

So if want to be heard write directly to MS email lol
