December 19, 20214 yr May be it's the combination of P3D5.3 and Windows 11? Some guys talk about problems with m.2-disks in windows 11. I see that the P3dv5.3 shows the stutters after 10 or 15 minutes, in the beginning all seems smooth, the VRAM shows 3.4/6.9 GB. The date transport seems to decrease gradual ? i have GTX 2080, the installation of P3Dv5.3 is on M.2 (Intel SSDPEKNW020T8). Peter

In my case (may not be relevant to you case but thought I'd share) the following seems to have "fixed" it: Win10, turn OFF GPU scheduling Download latest GRD drivers for my nVidia GPU. Download latest DDU and run in Safe Mode with network cable removed (important to NOT have any internet connectivity be it wireless or hardwire). Boot back into normal mode and install the nVidia GRD drivers. Cheers, Rob. I followed your instructions Rob. In addition to those I disabled the full screen optimization for Prepar3D as well. The DDU process went very well, in safe mode without internet access. I'm almost 2 hours into my flight, with the studio driver 472.84, same complex add-on, PMDG 777 without any issues. Reading about possible connections to SSDs I want to mention that the simulator is actually on an HDD in my case. Still have about 2 hours of flight ahead of me and will be doing more flights. All my previous flights, since I installed 5.3 were around the 1 hour to 2 hour mark. I only noticed it first when I did my 9.5 hour long haul flight, and the following 4.5 hour flight. December 20, 20214 yr Yeah, above all else please post over at the P3D forums too. Discussing the issues here is all good and well but LM can’t be expected to visit other forums. Raising issues (and supporting existing threads - of which there are several) on their forums may not always (read rarely) get a response but at least they can see the size of the issue. Unfortunately you’ve just got to ignore the two muppets over there that offer endless “it must be your setup because I can’t see it” advice 😏 Kael Oswald 9950X3D/ 64GB DDR5 6200 @ CL30 / Custom Water Loop / RTX 5090 / 3 x 48" LG C4 OLEDs
December 20, 20214 yr There are lots of commercial users of P3D, who may have or likely will encounter this trouble. Likely LM will prioritize those contracts and hopefully replicate the issue on their hardware, and issuing a fix with the next hotfix. Unfortunately, they seem to avoid the topic at the LM forums as there is no input by LM for days now. Very bad communication.
December 20, 20214 yr Even Andrew Wilson /FSL has gone back to 5.2HF1. Wish i had kept the installer. Michael Moe Michael Moe

Their commercial customers are going to be paying a premium for support as well. They aren't working their issues through a public forum, they probably have a dedicated technical support team for paying commercial customers. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

December 20, 20214 yr By some miracle I kept the latest 5.2 installer from a 11/27 download. Can I run a separate activation of 5.2 and do symbolic links back to the scenery add ons etc to test?
December 20, 20214 yr So far I'm ok with v5.3. I've only had one really bad FPS issue, and it may have had something to do with my VA ACARS software. However, this has definitely reinforced my natural impulse to hang on to the older zip files. Crossing my fingers I won't need it. Edited December 20, 20214 yr by Iadbound
