November 11, 2025Nov 11 Author Major Update for MSFS Ramona KRNM Airport (v3) – Now Live! Exciting news for all Microsoft Flight Simulator pilots! The latest update for Ramona KRNM Airport (v3) is here, bringing significant improvements and new features to enhance your flying experience. Key Updates: "Perfect" alignment: the entire airport has been meticulously realigned with the latest MSFS 2024 Bing ground textures, ensuring seamless integration and accuracy. Calfire apron construction: experience the ongoing Calfire apron construction in the sim! While not all parking spots are closed in the MSFS world, I’ve added construction barriers, objects, and red/white markings to reflect the real-world changes. Tower transient parking revamp: New parking spots with custom markings New exit doors and updated signage (including parking fees) Calfire planes have been relocated to the tower transient area - yes, both are still active in MSFS 2020! This update brings Ramona KRNM closer than ever to its real-world counterpart. And I will continue to update based on information I can collect, from here, in France Whether you’re a frequent visitor or exploring for the first time, the attention to detail will make your flights even more immersive. Download now and let me know what you think! Happy flying! Changelog v3.0.0: - Add missing signs: reverse A1, A3, A5, and "B1->", A on west - Add construction on Calfire apron to simulate the ongoing construction. - Red and white barrier on old transient to illustrate the construction in progress - Construction objects - Fix A4 reverse sign - Fix all taxiways - Fix missing buildings (MSFS2024) - Update warning and info signs at holding point 27 - Update Chuck Hall Aviation sign - Update Titan sign on hangar - Update Tower Transient parkings: - Add new parking spots (and custom markings) - Add new exit door transient parkings (and signs inc. fees) Edited November 11, 2025Nov 11 by vbazillio Vincent B. November 16, 2025Nov 16 Author One more Update 3.1 now available. It’s a must-have update for MSFS2024 users. Now the dirt and skid marks on the runway are back! And many other fix and updates. Remember MSFS20204 users: You need to activate the two scenery folders that are in the .zip file. It’s by design (Microsoft/Asobo) that all MSFS2020 handcrafted imported airports in MSFS2024 have a basic runway asphalt texture without extra cracks and other details. MSFS2024 users: starting with this 3.1.0 the .ZIP contains two folders "vbcorp-airport-krnm-ramona" and "zzz-vbcorp-airport-krnm-ramona". You need to activate these 2 folders in your Community and keep the name “zzz-vbcorp-airport-krnm-ramona”. Change log 3.1 Add car road all around the airport. Decommision the airport light beacon tower. Fix runway texture for MSFS2024. Now dirt and skimarks are back in my scenery when using MSFS2024.\nFix yellow lines on runway. You need to activate the 2 folders in your Community. Fix Philipps 66 signs texture. Fix building missing or duplicate because of autogen buildings. Fix apron texture and taxiway lines (on all other aprons than tower transient ramp). Update construction on CalFire apron. Update some apron textures. In Southern California, I choose which airports to recreate for MSFS based on my real-world logbook. With only one or two exceptions, I’ve actually taken off from or landed at every field I've built. Since I love re-flying these routes in the sim, the lack of detailed versions of "my" local airports was always a major immersion killer for me. At this point, I think I’ve done about as much as I reasonably can. Some airports are simply too complex for my current amateur developer skills. Whenever I see the work put out by professional add-on studios, I’m reminded of my place in the hierarchy! That being said, I do have several other airports on my workbench (Sonoma, French Valley, Riverside). Unfortunately, a mix of limited free time and a lack of motivation has kept them in the "WIP" stage for now. Vincent B. May 10May 10 Great scenery...sure...right He has also made it almost impossible to fly anywhere else then California in a GA plane. Rumor is that he is getting paid by the California Tourism industry. 😁😁 Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

A BIG THANKS again to Jeremy! THANKS goes also to Antoine. With this 2.0.1 new version, MSFS2024 users don’t need anymore the separate mod for MSFS2024. Only the main folder is required in your Community folder. You can delete vbcorp-KRNM-MSFS2024-fix Thanks Vincent I’ve admired this beauty’s fighting fire in between a school an a gas station in the middle of my neighborhood on a hillside 10 miles west of Ramona (the fire was over in less the 30 minute)… not the first time or the last ,that’s TOP gun to me! Seconded. Cal-Fire's aviation unit are true heroes. I always try to include their aircraft or base in my sceneries as a tip of the cap. They do a lot of great work with limited resources.

Most of the time and mostly in MSFS2020 (are you with MSFS2020) buildings are just missing. If it's this one... ... it's a custom hangar (opened) included in the zip. I can't understand how a embeded texture couldn't load. Maybe a specific issue with MSFS? Vincent B.
