January 8, 20224 yr Go forth and sim. I have enough drive space to keep 4 flight sims installed. Like Jarmstro said, I'll fly whatever floats my boat at any given time. Yeah, 98% of the time it's MSFS. But sometimes I need a Mad Dog fix or need to fly the A2A Bonanza. Nice to have options. Today, I'm going to see if the Aerosoft twin otter still works in P3d, just as a warm-up to Just Flight's release for MSFS. Good times. Give it 6-12 months and I think you will be duly more impressed than you already are. If they make good on major weather enhancement chatter it could well be astounding as they have the resources to do it better than the other shops, IMHO of course. Their goal is stability in 2022 starting w/ separation of World Scenery and Sim Updates in early 2022, and bug fixing focus around Feb 22 SU8. I plan to look closely at XP12 but will only go there if MSFS fails to progress adequately in the next...6-12 months. January 10, 20224 yr are you looking for help with re-installing XP? If not, then I am not understanding the point of your post/question.
January 11, 20224 yr I reinstalled XP11 just for the challenger a few days ago , what a fantastic aircraft, never ever have I been so immersed in an aircraft in 23 years of flight simming, for me I don’t see myself going back to Microsoft anytime soon, the CL650 from Hotstart is bloooooody Unbelievable ….. roll XP12! January 11, 20224 yr 😁😃…..I did, I was done with XP11 and I’ve been flying fs2020 which I kinda like but ( don’t want to get into a debate here) but it just didn’t feel like I was flying a plane, XP11 gives me personally a better sense of immersion and feel, especially when landing, it’s just that ‘feeling’ ya know…..so when I clapped eyes on the Challenger I had to give it a go as it’s the same company who did the TBM900 and that is in a league of its own as is the Challenger, there is just no comparison whatsoever to fs2020, the plane is quite unbelievable as I have said and it will keep me XP11 for some time to come. I have uninstalled fs2020 and now I wait for XP12 and that’s we’re my head is at. 👍🛫 Regards Paul EGCC Regards Paul EGCC
January 11, 20224 yr For heavies Im totally into P3Dv5......I only use XPlane now for flying around the ORBX UK ( sometimes Europe Ortho4XP ) in my Tornado Jet at 200 ft nap of the earth................... 😃😋👍 The more flight sims we have installed the better the choice, even if some we may not ever fly again. January 14, 20224 yr XPlane will always have SSD space reserved in my rig, just because there's another sim out there doesn't justify getting rid of it, on the contrary, I can't wait to see what XP12 will bring, quite excited about it. I'm glad there's an alternative available for the future. January 15, 20224 yr @CarlosF, with a Masterpiece like the Hotstart CL 650 there is more than enough reason to reinstall XP11 while waiting for XP12 and the CL to get ported into the new platform, which might take months... In the meanwhile owners of the mighty Hotstart CL 650 can make their "type certification" 🙂 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 16, 20224 yr I would like to see more XP developers invest in or rent 3d scanners to get a close to 100% looking cockpit. It may be expensive however the pay off is it can save a lot of time and the result is much more accurate. Anyway with my new high spec PC I am getting pretty decent graphics and FPS with XP11. But the sudden lighting changes and weather redraws are such a pain and it cannot be fixed in 11. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer
