Anyone watched this yet? For me the guy that plays Fett has no charisma, no screen presence, a bad choice I'd say.

Episode one was dire. Episode two was better. Hoping the series will improve.

Even Kevin Costner had more charisma than this guy. 😁 I'm told they had to use him because he was used in the prequel Star wars films and he was supposed to be a clone of his father. Shame that. 🙄

Temuera Morrison is a brilliant actor, it would be the production team that maybe limiting his range.

watch him in the movie- Once Were Warriors, there's Charisma aplenty in that film.

It doesn't look that appealing a show. Exacerbated by the weird decision to give the actor who had a minor role in one of the Star Wars prequel films the lead role in a standalone TV series.

That hasn't stopped Hollywood from changing the castings of actors before.
Off the top of my head, there have been these notable changes.

Hannibal's Clarice Starling: Jodie Foster --> Julianne Moore
Batman Begins' Rachel Dawes: Katie Holmes --> Maggie Gyllenhaal
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's Aunt Vivian: Janet Hubert-Whitten --> Daphne Maxwell Reid
Iron Man's Lt. Col. 'Rhodey' Rhodes: Terrence Howard --> Don Cheadle
 

I'm looking forward to the new Obi-Wan series when that is released.

True enough but in this case, as he is a clone, he had to look identical to his previous character. I guess they still could have used a different actor and ignored that but the hard core Star Wars fans would have gone bonkers. 😁

Sounds a bit like The Mandalorian. That series is also a bit of a mixed bag. I am hoping that the Obi Wan Kenobi series will be more consistent.

Actually Chris I thought Mandalorian was excellent. Fett is nowhere near as good. Although its all subjective of course. 

Ewan McGregor in Obi Wan, so a decent actor. As long as the writing and direction is good it should be the best of the lot.

I’m enjoying it as well. Temuera Morrison Is a great actor and quite ambitious to continue to take on this role at his age. I would have preferred if he wasn’t toning down his Māori accent but most people around the world won’t recognise what an amazing accomplishment this is for Māori to take on a hero role like this. Star Wars is universal and actors from around the world should be represented, A Māori actor fits very well in this role. Some won’t get it and that’s fine

Talking of Maori. I once visited a Maori place in Rotorua. Fascinating place Rotorua. But smelly. 🙂 Also visited friends of my ex wife's grandmother, a Maori family that lived on the banks of Lake Rotorua. they treated us to some lovely vegetables cooked with volcanic steam from a valve at the bottom of the garden.

Not true at all, I am not from the land of the long white cloud it is where I now live, I come from the Great White North. I originally saw Once Were Warriors in Canada and that film was extremely popular when it came out, at that time I knew very little about New Zealand and that film left quite an impact, and Temuera Morrison scared the _____ out of ya. He was always a great actor that left an impact in anything he has done both on and off the camera.

I am not really from here or there or anywhere at this point I have had the opportunity to live in various places in the world, and that opens up your mind considerably. Star Wars is meant to do that to when they get it right, and on this case I think they got it right. 

I also like Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen together, they work very well for me. I even liked those Vespa's and those 'Mods' (modified) kids who were riding them, I thought that was a hilarious tribute to the film Quadrophenia and got it right away, it made me smile.
