Tbh I expected something more akin to his portrayal in the movies - a man of action with the cool unusual ship. But then I just described the Mandolorian...

Quite like the actor and greatly enjoy the stoic and laid back nature of his character as he establishes himself. As well as his backstory with the Tuskens. He's a good mix, rather than yet another cliche of an unassailable tough guy

Mark

Will watch the latest episode tonight. Hope I like it better.

Must say the effects are astonishing though. Very good indeed.

Just watched episode 4, much better. And apparently episode 5 is all about Mando, so I will obviously like that.

Bit weird this, combining it with Mandalorian. Unless they figured it was desperately in need of enhancing.

I agree... Mando to the rescue! 😁

5 the best! Big Mando fan. 🙂

A cat point for being a Mando fan.

I hope that this series improves after Episode 3. That "chase" through the streets of Mos Espa was cringeworthy, and those Super Mario bikes look ridiculous

Yep, I fond it pretty mediocre and cringeworthy until Mando appears on the scene, then it improves dramatically Chris. Stick at it, the last few episodes are good. The later episodes bode well for the next series.

What were they thinking with those bikes?? They look like freebies you would get in extra large bags of skittles

I've been liking the BoBF. I'm not sure what happened to the bounty hunter who was hand picked by Vader, to the Boba we have now. I find myself making excuses in my mind: "the sarlaac pit gave him time to think", "he's older now", "he's more mellow as he's been injured for the whole season"...

Small observations: I didn't enjoy the bikers as, in my mind, they're the same ole "scrappy group" fighting for change; and I don't care abuot them one bit. I really like Fennec. She seems to TRY to make the Boba character remember who he is. The Tusken montage was good. I even like that they touched on the fact that Tat used to have water. The bounty hunter with the red eyes is awesome. Need more of that guy!

Regardless, I'll keep watching in hopes it will become a show I really like.

Notoriously bad Star Wars writing like every actor has complained about since the first one in 1977. Even Temuera Morrison complained that Bobba Fett talks too much, he never did in the past but for whatever reason in this series his character got sucked into that bad Star Wars Dialogue. He kept saying on set 'Are you sure Bobba Fett talks this much???'

I agree with him on that one. I did enjoy it overall but not sure why they had that much script in it, should have just kept it simple on the dialogue it would have come across far better.

I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

They have made Boba Fett far too "human", although I guess if he had remained silent and kept his helmet on at all times, they could have called this series The Mandalorian : Clone Edition.

The rendition of a young Luke Skywalker is remarkable.

Yeah I know. They used the real actor and de-aged him. It wasn't all CGI.

Essentially, they brought Mark Hamill to the set so he could actually, you know, perform. Apparently, a 30-year-old-looking body double was brought in, too. Then, the Hamill and the body double were effectively put in a visual effects program (called Lola) and blended together until on screen we had a de-aged human smoothie.

“They effectively reproduced a de-aged version of Mark for the shots by combining the texture from his face and also [the body double's] younger face," Bluff said. "The biggest challenge for this sequence was that we weren’t de-aging Mark in every single shot, and we had a variety of performances that Lola had to work on, too.”
