It isn't an advertising ploy. The software is published by Xbox Game Studios.

Doesn't the eula stop you  removing any branding.

So by removing  the  so called  advert  will it  load  quicker  🙂

The logo is a good indication that MSFS is tied to XBOX optimisation as it should be they are the subscribers that will keep the funding going.

Microsoft PC version

I'll check the menus again - thanks!

Have a great day, everyone!!

Hmm... the plot thickens ! I do not think that it is version related as I have not seen it in my Steam version. Do you use an XB controller ?

Simming since 1981 -  [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam

Just use the Addons Linker and do fast launch... it skips all the start up animations... just a thought...

I have a replacement MSFS start icon that I have used from the early days.
It just has a plain black screen during start up and then goes straight into 'checking for updates'.
It doesn't really save much loading time - a few seconds at the most, but you don't get the videos.

The only time it gets bypassed is during updates, as it has to go through the xbox app etc. in that case.

I will try to find out where I got it from when I get home.  It may just have a clause in the icon settings such as '-video' or something similar, but it can be done and causes no problems.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

FSUIPC 7 includes a batch file in its installation folder that will bypass most (all?) of the opening splash screens.

Yes, just create a shortcut pointing to the flight sim with the "-FastLaunch" option on the command line.   Then you can launch it from your start menu or desktop that way, it's the easiest way to go IMO.

Superb - that's it!

advertising for a product

The image you posted are the controls for using an xbox pad?

Personally I've never seen that myself. If you're on xbox I doubt that can be disabled, unfortunately!

Yes, hardly an "advertisement", and getting so worked up about it that you feel the need to banish it from your sight seems a bit odd to me.

But whatever makes folks happy...

Got a controller plugged in? It might just be trying to help.

Sometimes mine switches between controller prompts in the menu and keyboard ones depending on if I nudge my controller but that's nearly every game these days... its just efficient profile hot swapping.

As for the load screen... Wait, people sit and watch that? I go read a book or two while the sim loads 😄

I too have never seen that screen on my store version, and I boot up everyday...
