Falaise (LFAS)

Featured Replies

Here is Falaise airport created by Yves P.

The Falaise-Mont d'Éraines aerodrome is an approved aerodrome for restricted use, located 5 km northeast of Falaise, in the Calvados department in the Normandy region.

It is used for the practice of leisure and tourism activities (light aviation).

I had to do a double take on those real shots, the developers excellent work and FS2020  its getting hard to differentiate, with my eyes at least!

Well worth bookmarking simvol.org as there are some lovely small airfields in France and these are very nicely made addons.  Some of the modelling is excellent.

This should be an airfield of pilgrimage  for the Brit simmers as William the Conqueror was born in Falaise 😉

Horse chestnut trees yield conkers.  Hence William the conkerer.  Did you ever play conkers as a kid? 😁

No, this is not a game played by the French kids. I remember there were plenty of them at Fall on my way to school in the 50s. We call it  « marron d’Inde » in French ( Indian chestnut).

Yep, the end of the battle of Normandy and a hot controversy between the Allies
