Have to disagree there with you. The focus of the topic is MSFS and the reference or baseline is P3D. If you follow your logic, we could have all other sims being compared in this sub- forum which is not what I would be looking for by coming to a P3D-specific forum. I generally do short haul, med haul commercial flying primarily with PMDG aircraft and the QW 787. The available aircraft just were not/are not up to snuff for this in MSFS, in my opinion. Unfortunately for me, the graphics come in below the need for study level aircraft, but I do have most of the orbx products, about 50 airports etc to enhance where the default P3D scenery lacks. As well, the complicated nature of just customizing views in MSFS like you can do with chase plane frustrated me. Small things like this turned me away. With the PMDG 737 on the horizon for MSFS, this could get me to try it out again. I didn't even reinstall MSFS when I did a clean windows install last month. What is your 2022 opinion on MSFS as an avid P3D user? MSFS 2022 is the best VFR sim I've ever used. 😀 P3D is no longer even installed on my SSDs. Does that answer your question? MSFS

I think it has a more deserving home there given the original title of this thread than here. Nothing against the question itself and as a P3D user I do frequent the MSFS forum to see what the current state of play is with that sim. No. Hangar Chat is neutral territory. Put it in the MSFS forum and all the things people don't like would probably be criticised especially if you're comparing it to another sim. XP or P3D. Ray (Cheshire, England). February 9, 20224 yr "Up to Par?" No! In several ways it is still a double-bogey on a stunningly beautiful golf course. But that last putt just slightly rimmed out. February 9, 20224 yr If the subject is "is MSFS up to par yet?" Then one of the question must be "what is the quality of aircraft currently available for the sim?" On that note, MSFS is not up to par yet. Is it further along today than P3D/FSX/XP were at the same time in their development? Possibly, but that's completely irrelevant to the question of "is MSFS up to par yet?" Edited February 9, 20224 yr by DChockey08
February 9, 20224 yr In my opinion, the answer would be "No" because none of the many aircraft I fly in P3d (other than the CRJ) are available for MSFS. Desktop sightseeing becomes boring to me after a short amount of time, and in many ways is irrelevant since I am mainly a tubeliner guy. No one has compared the FbW Airbus to the FSL one. But you have to take the price into consideration. I don’t have either but the price of the FSL one is $140. How much is the FbW one?
