LatinVFR airport static aircraft bundle - FPS?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone! I've been using both MSFS and P3D. While both have their strenghts, and I'm looking forward to the MSFS airliner releases (737/320/MD82), there's a thing I sorely miss from P3D4 and FS9: AI traffic.

If I use AIG, I can´t keep all the fluidity I'm used to, specially when flying the DC-6 and the FBW A320. But flying to an empty hub is so depressing 😂...

I've seen the static aircraft bundle by LVFR. Seem interesting: correct liveries for the airport I'm arriving/departing. BUT how does it affect FPS?

For reference, I only have one addon airport, which is not covered yet by LVFR traffic, so it won't matter.

Before actual unbiased users chime in. After months of being released, no support tickets, no comments absolutely no feedback complaining about performance.

The objects are placed and created in a way it won't impact significantly performance. In other words, with it or without it you won't notice any impact, no matter the system.

I have this product and I really like it and can recommend it for sure.  It gives me exactly what I wanted to see (realistic airlines at the gates) and no noticeable FPS hit at all that I have noticed.  I will be waiting until MSFS/Asobo get AI functionality sorted before going back to AIG and any kind of live AI traffic....which had a very noticeable FPS hit...

I also use this and it does not affect FPS in any way on my system.
I fully recommend it.

Thanks for this.  Are there plans to develop further (more airports covered) or is this mod pretty much completed ?

There is.

However, most of the important airports left, require more livery work, for example Angola Airways in Angola etc. Many secondary hubs or smaller types are going to be added. The rest of the world airports don't feature a static aircraft parked 24/7 in the same place. So its a matter of perhaps adding General aviation aircraft to them, but adding those will also imply a lot of development time. And for the sake of adding one airport to the list we are not just gonna add a Cessna and call it a day.  We are looking into getting  into 500 number in the coming weeks.

I was just a little disappointed that all the popular Gorn airlines were not represented. 😞   I'm sure in the next update this will be addressed...lest they have an insurrection on their hands and Styrofoam boulders start to hurl in their direction.

I know most Gorn-folk are peaceful by nature, but when they feel slighted, there is no telling what they are capable of...Just ask James Tiberious Kirk. 😉   He had an unpleasant Gorn experience.

Gorns are actually a much kinder, gentler species than what is often portrayed by the popular media.

I won't be hurling any boulders just because my favourite reptilian airline is not represented.

I know right?  It just the human race's aversion to all reptilian species.  Most see a snake, want to kill it.  No human in history wanted to snuggle with a croc....See a lizard...we just gotta' pull its tail off.

Face it we're a very racist species...but some of my best friends are Gorns! 😉

Oh...and the Creature from the Black Lagoon....nice guy in reality.  Had him over for a Barb-a-que once, he brought some peat moss from his lagoon that worked wonders for my garden!

Good to know.  Thank you for taking the high road in this matter, just know I support your kind and hope to see an all species-inclusive list of airlines soon.

Thank you everyone (specially Ricardo) for your responses. I've purchased it yesterday, and definitely it changes the immersion a lot. Luckily my home airport (SACO) is covered, so now I don't feel alone when taking off from there.

Hey Ricardo,

I have installed and been flying to many of my favorite airports and I have to say it is a fantastic add-on in MANY ways!

  1. Price....great price for what you're getting IMO
  2. Coverage....your selection of airports, IMO covers about 80-90% of the most common that we fly to.
  3. Accuracy....I think the models are very good, paints are good (I'm a painter so I hold my reservations, but these are very good for AI paints!), and most important of all....Airline placement at the correct gates/terminals!!
    1. Every airport I've gone to thus far (about a dozen of the most popular), the airline gate location is spot on!
    2. Even at KLAX where you always see the Qantas 380s sitting at the hangars near the east runways, All the International planes are where they should be, and you even have Delta and Spirit in the correct...CURRENT gates since they switched last year (or was it the year before?)...only suggestion for KLAS is to add more Asian cargo 747 and 777 aircraft at the cargo ramp...they are very popular there.
    3. PANC in Anchorage is a huge Cargo hub, and while well stocked...its missing Atlas, who is home-based there.  Would be cool to see Buffalo there as well. 😉
    4. of course the Concorde is at Heathrow,
    5. Boeing's Everett field and its a joy to see all the aircraft there!
    6. My home airport of KDFW, if you know the layout, Terminal D is the International terminal and has out-of-country visitors there in the right plances, and Terminal E houses all the non-American Airlines companies like Delta, UAL and Spirit.  Terminal B is the regional term, and its dotted with ERJs and CRJs...not an "Mainliner" at B....exactly as it should be. 😉
    7. KATL is a sea of Delta tails, with Southwest in their little section and American tucked away at the "T" gates.
    8. Air Force one is at Andrews naturally
    9. EDDF cargo area is nice, but is not as full as it should be IMO.
    10. Still have not flown to KMEM or KSDF but bet I won't be disappointed. 🙂.
    11. The one EASTER EGG I have not found yet is the TRUMP 757.   I know it's painted (I looked at all the texture maps...you know....I'm a painter and was curious, LOL) and you naturally have a 757 model, but were I EXPECTED it to be is not there.  It usually lives at KLGA at a designated spot, but I didn't see it there, do I need to hunt for it or is it not placed yet?

I can give this addon a solid recommendation if you've not dipped into the crazy world of AI yet and have already spent hours/days configuring your own custom stuff.

This addon is simple, inexpensive, populates your airports with very convincing aircraft at the correct gates and stands.

Great job LVFR!  As with you're excellent scenery (I have KMIA, KFLL, KSAN and KMSY), you did a super job on this package!

  • 8 months later...

Hi. I’m using this but when I launch a flight from a gate, my plane is usually on top of another. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

no, static AI is well, static.. so its parking positions dont change dynamically.. you have to know which gates are free vs occupied.. i do that home work before getting into a flight.. nowadays i use FSLTL though instead of latinvfr AI..
