We are working on some new videos, but we are fairly close to release. In other places we confirmed GSX will be out in August.

GSX for MSFS is made of two main products, which are both included in the purchase:

- The "Pro" package, which is similar to the current GSX, which works for the user only.

- A "lite" package, which is what we call "GSX World", that does jetways replacement, and default ground services replacements. Both only replace the vehicle models, so they'll work with AI as well, exactly like the default one.

We ( and other retailers ) will only sell the complete version with both packages, the reason why we made two separate package, is that "GSX World" will only be available on the MS Marketplace as a separate product, with a lower price, because it's mainly geared to Xbox users, since it runs without any extra software.

Do you mean ones that replace all the default MSFS jetway models?

Yes, but I'm sure you can configure that so it doesn't. It's just models. GSX functions are separate from that.

EDIT: Obviously it won't replace customized jetways from third party airports like FlyTampa, if that was what you asked.

I used GSX a lot in the older platforms but one thing I did not like was the pushback servcie. It was working ok for most of the times, but as soon as you left the main routes and visited other places you got lost on pushback quite often. Especially when seeing real easy to use solutions like better pushback in the xp world or the free pushback toolbar in msfs with their preplanning with a few clicks I honestly hoped to see some more enhancements and improvements in this area. I did not follow closely all the news but afaik the pushback will be like the old system, or please correct me if I'm wrong.

Atm I'm a bit splitted (even as a long year customer of the gsx versions) if I see a real benefit to jump on. Probably I will do anyway out of curiosity but I actually don't see it as a real long awaited addon like some of us do. But thats as always very subjective 😉

Cheers

I've probably used GSX in about 1000 flights on P3D, and I can count on two hands how often pushback did not work (by that I mean that there was no taxiway / direction offered; usually it was a faulty ADE from the scenery developer). And I loved flying from smaller, exotic airports. So I disagree with "you got lost quite often".
Also there was a map planning option for GSX where you could do exactly the same as with better pushback or the toolbar pushback in MSFS (preplan on a map and execute). So again with GSX (if it's like in P3D) you will get any option you'd like for pushback.

But honestly: having an addon that you just have to tell "push me back left on taxiway A" by one-click and it will push you exactly to that taxi line without having to use any map planning tool or - god forbid - manual driving... that's not available yet for MSFS at all. This alone is worth it for ease of use and immersion, because that's what pilots do in real life.

Perhaps we have visited different spots then 😉 As I said its subjective for sure. But lets be honest. The usage of the map tools in GSX wasn't really the best or easiest way to put it in soft words At least intuitive would be the last word coming to my mind 😉 Each to his own but the ease of use of the other tools mentioned would have brought some real benefit. At least offering the option - instead of the given only the coded way or straight - in a quick two or three clicks way or even driving the pushback manually would be nice as an alternative. Remember, each user is different... Lets wait what the final product will offer...

How long has been since you last used GSX ? This kind of comment about comparing it to "real easy to use" solutions, seem you never tried the QuickEdit pushback, which in addition of allowing to pre-plan a push back route on the fly, it automatically save it for that specific parking position for later use, so if you use that parking spot again, it's already there.

As others pointed out, GSX works automatically 90% of the time, without any need to pre-plan anything. You only need to pre-plan in specific places like the last gate in a cul-de-sac terminal.

When it failed in straightforward Left/Right situations, it was almost invariably because of bugs in 3rd party BGLs, which were made in strange ways, or with lots of bugs. You don't have any idea how much code is there in GSX to defend itself against bugs in the sceneries.

However, this is much less common in MSFS because, the included Dev Mode is way more strict, so it won't even allow to compile airports with the usual bugs like overlapping nodes, orphaned nodes, duplicate parking names, unlinked paths, and with every update, it becomes more and more strict, making way more difficult to release an airport with issues, and that will help GSX as well.

I'll do a video shortly to prove how fast and easier planning is, but it's important to note that it's the automatic pushback which is the real value of GSX: always requiring planning or force you to drive the truck it's the easy way out because figuring it out automatically where you need to go based on just a Left or Right input it's way harder.

Will the new GSX have an option to automaticly spawn at the gate given by atc?

The version will not include crew and passenger boarding?
