So far I can't duplicate the above  problems  - I 'm using the TDS GTNXi ver of the plane. Maybe you have a conflict with something in the Community folder?

As for the VS scroll wheel problem , it looks like two lines of code were accidentally deleted when updating some nearby code. This bug will be fixed quickly I assume.

I would agree with your comment about other Addons causing issues except there was no change in Addons since beta 1.5.0 which had none of these issues. I use the pms50 GTN. I don't think the issues I saw would be connected with the GTN as much as the Garmin 605 a/P. Again I would guess that the LVL button being locked on is where all the problems would stem from.

After not seeing it for a while before Beta 1.6.0 I just had the 10 degree increment bug back again and I can confirm that switching off the autopilot and the flight director fixed it, same as happydappyman said. (Beta 1.6.0 with the PMS50 GTN750).

Didn't get chance to check the rest of what he said cos I made the mistake of pausing the sim (should have known better) and MSFS did it's usual "throw a wobbly out of control thing" when I unpaused (will they ever fix that?) and I exited the flight.

I have had this issue with other aircraft in the simulator so I think it's more of an FS2020 issue.  Also when I experience it it goes away after a few minutes.

My point is I have not seen other posts with issues like the LVL button being stuck on, so my guess is either something went wrong with your install or there is some kind of conflict .  Ver 1.6.1 Hotfix will be out tonight so hopefully that install will go better.

OK, thanks Al, I’ll be waiting for that. In the meantime I might try another download and see if a new install works. I’m curious though, does the LVL not show it’s active all the time for you?

LVL works as it should for me.

That does put a different light on it.  Do you mean that you've seen this in other aircraft since World Update 4 when they supposedly fixed this bug?

I haven't flown other aircraft much, other than many hours in the Just Flight PA28s without seeing this problem.  Maybe what we're seeing is related to a gauge (or something else) that's common to the C414 and the other aircraft you've seen it in?

Anton - the LVL button appears a bit different to the others. It has, by default, a blue surround. Perhaps that is causing some confusion?

Have a look at page 47 of the manual. That shows what how the button appears. It kinda looks like it's active, even though it's not.

The active Lateral and Vertical AP modes will display "LVL" if the mode is active - that's the only way to tell if it's actually "on" or not.

I have several Carenado aircraft and I believe I have seen the HDG and Course Needle 10 degree movement in those aircraft.  I will try some flights with those aircraft and see if I can confirm that.

Question regarding the autopilot in the GNS model.  When I climb to an altitude it does capture correctly and the CPLD light illuminates, but the ARM light does not go out.  Is this the way this is supposed to operate?

From the POH:  "When the airplane reaches the selected altitude, the amber ARMED lamp turns off ..."

For a full description of the Altitude Alerter and it's operation, see these extracts from the POH:

How do we know when an update is available? I checked my download page and there's no indication of what version it is. There was mention of an update on 4.18.22.

Thanks,

Len

This webpage tells you which version is currently available:

Flysimware’s CESSNA 414AW CHANCELLOR MSFS2020 – Flysimware

That will be the version that's on the download page.

Thank you for the information.  So, apparently the Altitude Alerter is not working correctly in the GNS model.  When capturing an altitude the CPLD light illuminates and the ARM light stays on.  In the PMS50 model the CPLD light illuminates and the ARM light goes out.

Today I tried starting multiple flights with different Carenado aircraft and with the 414 GNS and PMS50 GTN models.  I could only get the issue to duplicate once and that was with the PMS50 GTN model.  In each case I started engines, did the same flight plan and approach input, turned the FD on and selected HDG and VS setting the VS to 1000.  Tried adjusting the course and heading bugs and they worked smoothly every time.  The only exception was with the PMS50 GTN version of the 414.  Again, I followed the same procedure setting things up and once the HDG and Course needles were not operating smoothly when the AP was engaged (this was in parking on the ground).  I tried several times after that and everything worked smoothly.  This movement bug seems to be intermittent at lease for me.  I could also swear that I have had this recently in some other aircraft.  Just can't remember which aircraft and when but I know it was recently and before the release of this beta aircraft.
