I have to say, I did not see this new activity module coming...

RELEASE NOTES 1.26.1.0
If you are playing on PC, some packages in your community folder may not have been updated and, as a result, may have an unexpected impact on the title’s performance and behaviour.
Please move your community package(s) to another folder before relaunching the title if you suffer from stability issues or long loading times.

Major Features and Functionality:
•    New flight model dynamics based on airframe and airflow modeling
•    Additional flight model visualizations now available in developer mode
•    DirectX12 engine update including NVIDIA DLSS and Ray Tracing
•    Space Force activity module: 32 new challenges and activities built around the new rocket propulsion model and vacuum physics model
•    High resolution vertex and texture maps covering 72% of the moons surface
•    New spotlight event featuring ground to orbit launch from Moon’s surface

Stability
•    New “auto close” feature implemented*
•    The sim will now attempt to predict when you want to exit the application and force a crash event to immediately terminate the application process

*Denotes issues that were identified by the player community and are resolved in this update.

Weather
•    Space weather engine added including solar flares and Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) events
•    New tornado physics engine with real time ground damage

VR
•    New “headset free” VR mode
•    Enable in general settings – place head 2 inches from screen and cross eyes to enable the stereoscopic effect

AUDIO
•    Enabling any output device other than the system default now triggers the new “auto-close” predictive crash feature

Activity
•    New Space Force activity module with 32 new challenges and activities built around the new rocket propulsion model and vacuum physics model
•    Space tourism missions with new g-force based passenger vomit projectile physics engine
•    ISS Docking activities with score based on accuracy and momentum

Planes
SpaceX Falcon 9 Heavy
•    New rocket-based propulsion engine and physics
•    Ground-based termination routine with explosion mechanics
•    Payload orbital mechanics with light thruster stabilization physics

I hope that is just a random entry and not the whole update being an Aprils fools joke - it will be in very poor taste to raise expectations.

It was just the one in the list that made me laugh the most. I also busted a gut when I got to the Space X part.

I believe that the entire list is phony.

"The sim will now attempt to predict when you want to exit the application and force a crash event to immediately terminate the application process "

Are we crashing the sim to make it exit faster?

Nice April Fools day joke.  Now can the mods lock this thread?  Thanks.

haha he got me, for a minute I really thought this would be something Asobo would do

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

New tornado physics I read as new TOMATO physics. Which.. would be cool in a way I guess.. 🤣
