Wing42 Boeing 247D released!

Featured Replies

We have already the announcement thread, but I fear the relase itself got lost and overseen.

And this addon deserves a lot more attention!

Go get it at:

Boeing 247D for MSFS - Wing42

I'm betatester since over a decade now for A2A and have to admit that system wise, it is 100% on par with them!
About the flightmodell I can't say anything, it feels reasonable, but I'm no pilot.

But the systems, the attention to detail is really stunning.

It is the first addon in MSFS where I can (A2A style like) hear how's the engine behaving, I can hear if it is healthy or running a bit roughly.
Every instrument is individual, every gauges arrow responds to a tap on the glas and shakes indivudually to the rattle of the both 9 cylinder monsters.

But beware: it is a different aera of flying! This addon is not for the magenta jockeys! 😉

btw.: StreamDeck profile for AAO is in the works of course

I am not really into steam gauge / big radials aircraft but have to say that 20 USD / 17 EUR seems to be a very nice price point for what you seemingly get, I wish WIngs42 good luck and many happy customers

Just a heads up, was installing this morning before my second coffee (always a mistake) and didnt notice that it defaults to a file path of something like C:/fsdata

so you have to alter this to suit your installation ..doh

Well, purchased the bird via the simmarket app and having a bit of a problem so far. Keep getting a message indicating "the product you are trying to install does not follow the MSFS2020 sdk guidelines" -- or something along those lines. Reads like plain English but I believe it is Swahili, or maybe Latin. Investigating.

I somehow wish I did not have to "need" yet another e-com platform app... I know those are meant to simplify process but still getting sick tired of all those Apps crowding my desktop😕

Anyway, can't wait to get beyond that hurdle and go fly this beaut.

Cheers,

Hey Pathfinder,

Could you please elaborate a little? I could be suffering from that particular problem. Where did you find the file path ? Within the simmarket app ?

The installation location is given in a window during installation, just change it to the location of your community folder, or just let the installer run as is then go to c:/fsdata folder and copy paste from there to community folder

A stunning aircraft, probably the best so far in MSFS. Don't miss this one ! ( Purchase was a bit slow last night, but likely due to them being swamped by the amount of folk buying ) oh, and do set your installation path as it does default to some weird set up.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

Not a bad buy for $20 bucks. Its a cool quirky plane. I wish some of the textures and modeling were better but thats only because we are spoiled in MSFS now but at $20 bucks its a fun diversion.

I know this is going to sound sacrilegious but I do wish we had the option for a single GPS of any kind. Whether it was a 530 or 430 or 750NXI just to be able to use it in certain spots. Kinda like the Goose did with the pop up panel holding it. No Autopilot though as Its a real joy to hand fly.

I see, thx -- my problem is unfortunately different with some sort of failed download.

Of course you  didnt "need" to have another e commerce app, you could have simply got it from the developer direct
