Aerosoft Tool Simple Traffic

Featured Replies

Could people please stop calling either product names? The english language has enough adjectives to describe something you don't like without using foul or offensive language (or emoticons for that matter). It's not like society wasn't split enough in the real world, please let's not continue this on a flight sim forum.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Whatever floats your boat. Most users generally want their sims looking as good as it can, and ST is a huge step backwards in this department. $15-30+ to buy each good airport scenery that is as detailed and up to date as we can get, only to drop this 💩 on it?

This isn't an A is better than B thing, I'm not suggesting another product. The OP was wondering if ST was any good. If your expectations are low I guess it's better than nothing but not by much.

That's your opinion, which is not shared by many satisfied  users of Simple Traffic. In addition, the OP after reading this thread decided to buy Simple Traffic, are you just trying to make him feel bad? How pathetic.

Most users generally consider other criteria besides 'looks' as the only benchmark worth considering, which has been explained well in this thread.  ST is a giant step forward over what users saw before they installed ST, and you might understand why if you read some of the posts in this thread.  And if you read any detail in this thread you might also appreciate how the architecture in ST favors improvement over time as more liveries are added there is less and less need to sub-in random liveries.   I'm not sure why MS/Asobo will not replace the default models at some point w/ more accurate models.

another good use of Simple Traffic is using it for Live Traffic - & combining ST with the LVFR Static Aircraft pack,

work well together - not perfect, but another option to consider…

Yes, it is just my opinion and I'm sure that it IS shared by many users that did buy it and weren't satisfied with it.

It's just criticism of the product, the opposite of blowing sunshine up it's rear. It wasn't all negative though, I did say it was better than nothing afterall.

this is a Simple Traffic thread - many, many users are quite satisfied - also we realise that AIG (that you blatantly push at every opportunity) is a free alternative, albeit an installation hassle for many & also a performance hog...

Oh please, this wasn't meant to be an ST cheer leading thread, it was a question asking if it was any good or not, simple as that. I hadn't even mentioned any other product.

Now if you had any actual idea what you were talking about you would know that any perceived performance difference is from AIG's traffic displaying usually over double the number of aircraft. You adjust the traffic level to suit the needs of your system. Don't call it a hog because the lesser products don't deliver.

ST does what it says on the box it does. Simple as that. Whether it's "any good" is purely subjective.
