I've been waiting for a good Cancun airport for a while now!

https://maccosim.com/product/mmun-cancun-international-airport/

Looks great from the shots but I'll be doing a stream tonight to test it out!

Thank you Macco for making Cancun!!

I already have Cancun and the big thing about this area is if you don't model the coast where all the hotels are the effort is all but render moot.  It would be like having KLAS with no strip fully modeled.  Back in the FSX/FS9 days we finally got a developer to figure this out and it worked well.  The payware that I have (I forget the developer) has a great looking airport and the coast is modeled.  This effort looks to only model the airport which is a no go for me no matter how good the airport is. 👎😎

The approach and departure from Cancun over the gulf is amazing when you have Hotel row our your window.

That was the point I was trying to make. There's already a very good scenery for Cancun that has the beach and hotels. Thankfully they are all in separate folders so I can update just the airport if I want a better looking airport.

I'm sorry but you can't say that this other scenery has a very good airport of Cancun....It's pretty bad AND it's not cheap. There are a couple of great freeware of the hotel zone that works great with Macco's MMUN. Overall it is better AND cheaper.

Here is just ONE of the bad reviews on Simmarket.

While pretty good, this scenery is definitely NOT for the detail oriented. The buildings are of FSX quality; you'll find simple buildings with effective graphics, but not a lot of life at the airports. Speaking of which, yes technically there are 8 airports, but half have so little to them that they barely count.

I was quite disappointed in Playa del Carmen airport as I had a nice freeware one which showed how cute this airport could be (he used reference photos) and the DXR airport's lone building was awful: undersized, poor textures, surrounded by cartoon walls.

If you buy this, buy this for the 3 international airports and the impressive line of resorts in Cancun, and hopefully it's on sale. Do not buy this if you expect to tour airports and resorts up close with your drone. If you get any closer than the YouTube video shows, the magic starts to break down, but it is impressive with a bit of altitude, and you do get a lot of content with this package
.

Where are the links to such great freeware hotel zones?

Ok nvm..found them.

My verdict is....use Macco's cancun payware with DXR's payware hotel only folders for the best visuals.

Doesn't make sense financially. It's crazy to pay 16 Euros JUST for the hotel zone...Just use the freeware, it's great!

I agree! If you want the better airport, get the Macco's version and the freeware package you linked on this thread.

For me, very good first impressions with Macco's Cancun.  I have their EGBB and EGCC too.  Quality of those gave me high confidence that MMUN would be a good 'un.

Really happy to support these developers who punch so far above their weight.

I've tried the freeware hotel zone mentioned already.  Agree with above sentiments, looks excellent and complements the airport well.

There's a link in the middle of the thread. After further evaluation, it shows its age against this new version.

That version came with a few airports and hotels in the beach areas. At the time it was good enough for me.

I'll eventually upgrade to this version.
