Please make sure to check it out before you buy the app. Thank you. Initially I just wanted to create profiles for my StreamDeck, but I would now like to explore customising my Honeycomb Yoke/Throttle with LVARS I have been reading about. April 20, 20224 yr I use / own Spad.Next and I own / used Axis and Ohs. To me at least, Spad is much, much, easier for me to use. If you just want to specifically use your stream deck, there is a third option. There is a Stream Deck plugin called "Flight Tracker" which uses Mobli-flight's bridge module to send and receive sim events. https://www.mobiflight.com/en/index.html If I were you, I'd look at some YT videos that show the Spad and AOA interfaces. April 20, 20224 yr I got the lights work with the FBW profile on Spad.Next, however cant get the landing lights to retract when they are off? Anyone have any luck with that animation? September 18, 20223 yr Bill, I was having the same problem. I know this is a few months later and you might have figured it out, but in case you haven't, FBW set up a great page with all the LVARS and simconnect calls: https://docs.flybywiresim.com/fbw-a32nx/a32nx-api/a32nx-flightdeck-api/ go down to External Lights section and you will find everything you need

September 18, 20223 yr Axis and Ohs has some great support thanks to @guenseli. Thanks to his scripts and the Streamdeck templates in flightsim.to I was able to get setup rather quickly. However, I cannot recommend Axis and Ohs… it’s almost designed to be as hard to use as possible. It is maddeningly mind-bending to write even the most basic script as it’s done in reverse Polish notation LOL. Even the UI is convoluted. My apologies to the developer for being harshly critical, but I think it’s true and others ought to understand what they are getting into. Thankfully there’s a fully functional trial. If Spad.Next supports the same types of devices, like the Xtouch Mini and the StreamDeck, I’d probably suggest starting with that. It can’t be any harder to use than Axis and Ohs 😞
September 21, 20223 yr All I want is to have the sim load up custom profiles per plane w/o me needing to do anything to make it happen, I mean beyond initial configuration. Mainly sensitivities and a couple of button changes. Which is easiest to use for this? Very simple idea I'm happy w/ the controls options I have in MSFS I just want custom profiles loaded automatically per airframe or what have you. It seemed logical to use the same scripting method that the simulator uses - has been using for 20+ years and is still using today. That way people have a chance of recognizing code in the MSFS/FSX/P3D SDKs, the behavior files, gauges and animations in the sim and transfer that into the app more or less directly. Plus there still are many resources online about this RPN dialect, since it has been in use for so long, and there still are people who know how to write it really well. Im my world, if there is an established, documented standard, you use it - instead of inventing a completely new scripting method, that people have to learn anyway - and that has nothing whatsoever to do with the way that the sim functions. And where I would be the only person who really knows how it works - imagine the support effort resulting from that! Besides - if you prefer LUA, Python or whatnot, just use it. AAO has a web based API that is free to use and documented in the manual, you can access that with any program in any language that you fancy (as long as it can do XmlHttpRequests). September 21, 20223 yr @Lorby_SI for what it’s worth I actually find the UI very easy to navigate. I don’t fully understand the details of creating scripts but assigning buttons, axis and using scripts created online couldn’t be easier. I’m very happy with product and glad I paid for it. Thank you, but I think that VirtualChris is actually not wrong. While the central GUI has been made as accessible as possible, the "lesser" dialogs, like around scripting, tend to be a little "engineery". Unfortunately, complex matters cannot be made easy just like that - they are what they are. IMHO that can only be achieved through magic. Luckily there are talented people in the simmer community who in many cases do the heavy lifting for you (please be mindful of those "donate" buttons when you download something from certain websites...) IYHO, from installed and ready, how many minutes will it take the average user to insure 3 planes (PMDG 738, AS CRJ-700, B78X HD) will automatically load sensitivities and a very few minor variances for controller button presses? I have lost patience for fiddling around making things work! Please note that AAO is not working with the simulator controller logic at all. It is a completely separate thing. So the time to spend is first to remove all assignments from inside the sim, and then to create them again in AAO itself, with the logic that the app brings. And AAO has actually zero relation to the MSFS controller logic - you cannot do the same things with AAO that you can do in the sim in the same way. If you are already on edge about the time spent, I wouldn't recommend taking this route. Completely new logic and new assignments - plus the work-arounds that you have to make for some controls (=scripting), we are not talking minutes here. This is the road where even more frustration awaits. Which (IMHO) is true for whatever external controller app you decide to use. If it is only about the primary flight controls and a few default buttons like trim, maybe 10 minutes per plane. I made a video about that on YT. Anything more advanced will take a lot longer.
