April 19, 20224 yr I must admit to being confused which of these to go for. My main use would be to configure my StreamDeck to operate my aircraft. I have the Honeycomb Yoke & Throttle so I am intrigued with finer control over the axis and buttons. Can they be used at the same time, on the same aircraft, or should I just get one of them? I am a complete beginner with this so advice is welcomed. I've had the StreamDeck for a couple of months but not put any time into it so far. I saw a post about it and just purchased one so now I need to use it! April 20, 20224 yr I can't speak to Axis and Ohs. Spad has a few versions. For the Stream Deck support, you would need the Complete Edition which is rather expensive. The MSFS/FSX/P3D Edition alone won't do it. https://www.spadnext.com/buy/get-spad-next.html James
April 20, 20224 yr https://flightsim.to/c/third-party/stream-deck/most-downloaded that's the template's for the streamdeck from fs.to to show you what can be programmed. I don't have steamdeck but I do use AAO for other hardware and its great piece of software. April 20, 20224 yr I have both spad.next and AAO. If your primary goal is to use your streamdeck - Axis and Ohs. There are an ever growing number of profiles available on flightsim.to and Lorby-Si keeps updating the program to keep up with Asobo's changes. 9800X3D + RTX 4080 + 64GB DDR5
April 20, 20224 yr I have a FS start profile from which I can select several aircraft profiles and Communication input but it also has some basic options like use the flashlight, simspeed up/down, handbrake etc. For this you will need the Flight Tracker plugin for Stream Deck Using the same Flight Tracker plugin you can create your own profiles for aircraft (I recommend at least to create a generic one) but if you want to benefit from special profiles for (addon) aircraft I recommend Axis and Ohs since there are a number of near-perfect ready-made profiles available on Flightsim.to. April 20, 20224 yr Hi, I am using Axis & Ohhs (the paid version) to my satisfaction. I have two 32-button Stream Decks and don't really need a mouse anymore. Works very well with various Plane-models! Profiles for SD can be found on the internet (eg Flightsim.too (don't forget a donation!). You can, if you want, arrange or change/adjust them to your own taste. Do update regularly and you have to spend some time in the software to be able to use Stream Decks properly. April 20, 20224 yr Commercial Member There is a demo version available on the AxisAndOhs Weebly website. It is fully functional, it just has a time limit for every session. Please make sure to check it out before you buy the app. Edited April 20, 20224 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
April 20, 20224 yr Both are extremely good apps and which you prefer is likely to be a matter of personal taste. So best suggestion try out trial versions of both versions and see which you find easier to configure and use.
April 20, 20224 yr If you have a StreamDeck, then have a look at the available SD Profiles for AAO. April 20, 20224 yr Haven't tried spad.next but just got the stream deck yesterday and it works great with AAO. I was able to fly the DC-6 last night and virtually never had to touch the mouse throughout the whole flight. Special thanks to the hard work that Guenseli and others have done to make SD profiles.

For an app as comprehensive as Spad.Next I feel the price is fair. I have watched several YouTube videos and the interface looks good. April 20, 20224 yr I use SPAD due to staring out with various Logitech/Saitek hardware devices. Since then, I have added other hardware including various RealSimGear devices and two Stream Decks. I cannot imagine life without it. I will say that if you're only interested in integrating Stream Decks into MSFS, SPAD may be a bit much (due to the cost of the complete edition). I have no idea how much AAO costs but guessing it's less for what you may be looking for.
April 20, 20224 yr I have Spad.next primarily for my Saitek Panels, I use it to create custom commands for instance I use the bottom rotatory dials on my radio panel to change the ND functions on the FBW A320 Can Axis and Ohs do the same thing? I currently have the demo version installed as I was trying out one of the excellent Stream Deck profiles for the FBW A320. I plan on purchasing it and was thinking it would be nice to have just the one application for this and my Saitek Panels instead of having to run multiple applications. When I purchased Spad.next on sale last Fall I did not realize it was only a 12 month license Richard i7-12700K | Noctua NH-D15S Black Version | MSI Pro Z690 - A | 32 GB DDR4 3600 | Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090 | 1TB WD Blue NMVe (MSFS 2020) | 500 GB WD Black Gen 4 NVMe | 4TB WD Black Conventional | Fractal Design Torrent Case | Seasonic 1000W Gold Plus PSU | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Honeycomb Throttle | Airbus Side Stick | Virpil Rudder Pedals | Sony X90K 55 Inch TV |
April 20, 20224 yr I have zero experience with Axis and Ohs so I can't offer an opinion on that software. I, do, however, use SPAD.next. It's nice to be able to make a profile that includes all of my various gear (HC Alpha & Bravo, Stream Deck, XTouch Mini) all in one piece of software. For me, SPAD was absolutely worth the purchase price.
