What I don't understand is how they got/get around the licensing issues, assuming it's true that Honda is skittish about these things.

Not sure whether calling it the "HJet" is going to solve this.

I mean, if I start selling Apple computers under my name but call them "Granny Smiths" - I doubt that that's going to satisfy Apple.

Why do we even care? We just got a study level Biz Jet for £20 and it is freaking awesome. Now that we do care, I dont beleive any company should have any right to stop this kind of thing, as long as the product is not willingly been shown in a bad light, or there is evidence of deliberate brand destruction. If anything this does Honda a world of favours, If I could still legally fly and had the license and money and would buy one of these in heart beat!

I now understand why the plane was priced so low. It requires an ultimate navigraph subscription to truly shine. If you want all the bells and whistles of this amazing little bird, you need one. Keep this in mind if you decide to buy the HJet.

Can you elaborate on that? Concerning Navigraph vs no Navigraph, the Honda Jet so far seems very similar to the Citation Longitude (with WT Garmin mod).

I'm not sure where that information has come from, but it certainly is not true.  The aircraft, and all of it's functions are 100% functional without Navigraph.  The only thing that you won't have is the Navigraph charts, but that goes without saying for any aircraft that has Navigraph integration.  Aside from that, there is not a single function that would not work without Navigraph.

One can enjoy the plane without a Navigraph subscription, and YES it all works, but for me to appreciate this airplane, I want the layered charts in the maps. It's what makes this bird so modern and easy to operate for Single Pilot IFR Ops.

My opinion is this Hjet is plenty complex enough for full enjoyment.  No doubt it will be improved over time, meanwhile we can be learning the in and outs and discovering exactly the capabilities that are already in the design.  I just made one of my routine flights and the plane performed beautifully.  I am one happy camper this morning.  Highly recommended.

This is the kind of plane I have been waiting for, and she's such a pretty birdy!

What’s the worst that could happen?

Honda sends a C&D to MSFS Marketplace. Marketplace removes the encrypted product making it completely obselete from the DLC cache, and customers get no refund nor have a copy of the product they paid for because it wasn’t sold directly elsewhere as a stand-alone community folder addon like other products. Now that would suck huh?🙃🤣

Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10
MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled)
8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled)
32GB DDR4 3000 Ram
500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

Fantastic value for money with great system depth considering the price point. My go to Biz jet for my next World tour.

Yes, but just as likely as that happening, Honda could send the developer a package with the HondaJet logos and ask if they would please use the official name and logo in the future. ha.

Completely disagree. The ONLY thing that requires a Navigraph subscription is Navigraph charts. That is true of the WT CJ4 as well as ANY aircraft that displays charts. If you want those features (which are cool) it obviously requires a sub. But by no means “requires.”

Actually, it doesn't "require" any additional addons - just some time in the left seat getting familiar with the plane to experience what it will and won't do.  Don't overthink it, just come along for the ride.
