Digital Design Tenerife South v2

Featured Replies

I have a couple of mesh issues in the terrain to the north of the airport as I approach runway 25. These appear as flat topped plateaus. Can any other users confirm this? If so, is there a fix? I am using P3Dv4.5HF2.

Yes. I have these to. The scenery is not working with V5. This only happens on approach. When starting a flight at GCTS no issues. The issues start when the scenery needs to be loaded.

Just a thought, but I believe Spain practices shaded / covered agriculture (for lack of a better term) for protection against the summer heat, and I believe there are a number of 'farms' around the TFS area (similar to near Almeria, Spain). Perhaps it's the developer's interpretation of this agricultural activity?

This is different. These are terrain mesh errors that appear as my plane approaches the runway, and they are further away from the airport. I think the structures that you are referring to are modelled as actual 3D objects.

Whats causing anomalies when landing vs. When taking off? I've encountered several visual issues only when arriving at other airports as well

I have already updated the AFD file myself, as it had a few issues that I wanted to correct.

Just a quick update to say that the developer has sent me a mesh fix file to test, so I will check this out at the weekend.

How do you like this scenery? I want to get a scenery for Tenerife, but I don't know which one to get. On the one hand with the Digital Design version you get the sloped runways and taxiways. But with the MK Studios version you can buy the airport Tenerife North.

I have the MK Studios Tenerife South and I combined it with RFSB Tenerife North. When I wanted this airport, MKS didn´t have it. You can combine different makes. The MKS TFS has some TFN files, which can be renamed to .off to avoid conflicts. Easiest of course is jus getting all from one hand. I got DD TFS for free during lockdown but never changed just because I mind the work. I know DD has some more details but MKS looks great too. With sloped runways I still fear problems with traffic. Usually, if I have no scenery of an airport I go for the newest product unless I see from the pictures, it doesn´t look good.

All I can say is that v2 of Digital Design Tenerife South is a significant improvement over v1, and I am very happy with it.
