Ground level fps with Asobo PG cities deactivated.

Hopefully Asobo can get to the bottom of this, looks like they are at least investigating currently...

Looks promising for SU10. I think it's worth the wait. Seems like a wise decision spending more time between SUs.

I hope they have narrowed it down to PG, specifically the PG packages noted in this thread.

I wish somehow the male voicing in particular didn't sound so fake, too perfect, not realistic sounding, too polite, I don't know exactly how to describe it.  It's not concontenation it's just odd voice inflection or something like that which makes not sound like actual ATC.

I think those of you with 12700K's or even 10-series and up cpu's are able to "brute-force" decent framerates despite the PG bug, because as @RJC68 says you can unlock frames and see the fps impact of the bug, even with something like a 12700K.

I've been checking out some of the areas mentioned in this thread and I'm not seeing any noticeable degradation on the ground. Maybe it's a 12th gen CPU thing. I lock FPS at 30 though and run at 4k. All the world updates are installed and PG is on.

I have an 11700K and tried a quick test last night at KJFK and KBOS. I had a drop of about 10fps at the gate. Fortunately I do very little flying in the US.

Here is what I get at KMOD. Vsync was off for this, but I usually lock at 30 FPS.

I'm relatively new to this discovery.

I've tried this (deleting PG cities other than US) and it definitely worked for me.

What would be really interesting to know, is how many users are experiencing this phenomena.

I hope Asobo/MS devote some time to resolving this so that the need to uninstall PG is no longer necessary.

Some people have mentioned high CPU usage on on the mainthread but I'm just not seeing it on my system. The sim runs fine, probably the best it's ever been and I have all the PG scenery installed.

Could be your hardware ie CPU handles the pressure with ease.

My CPU is older than yours and OC'd. It isn't running high and handling MSFS quite well for the most part.

I'm just lightly perplexed as to why some non-US PG cities are adversely impacting the US PG cities, at least on my rig (and some other users also).

It is indeed perplexing, and I haven't seen any explanation of this phenomenon. Nor have I seen any official statement from Asobo regarding this bug.

Could be. A recent motherboard failure forced me to upgrade, so I decided to go 12th gen on motherboard and CPU. I used to have a Intel i7-8700. Some apps on the i5-12600 KF are just way faster. The sim seems to run at roughly the same FPS but I'm not seeing one CPU core getting maxed out or nearly maxed out like I used to on the i7.

Here is a pic taken at KMOD. The CPU is actually downclocking from 4.5 GHz to 4.06 GHz because the utilisation is so low. Power management settings are at balanced.
