I'm coastal so a bit cooler. 22 today and 25 tomorrow. But always seems warmer than the temp implies here.

Health warnings have been issued across the UK as temperatures are predicted to top 33C.

Level three heat-health alerts are in place across the south, the Midlands and eastern parts of England where temperatures are soaring.

The Met Office is advising people to stay indoors over lunch and to drink plenty of fluid to cope with the heat.

Parents are also being encouraged to limit their children's exposure to the sun.

The heat-health alerts are expected to stay in place until next weekend.

Met Office forecaster Greg Dewhurst said it could possibly be "the hottest day of the year so far" on Monday.

41 will be a record for the UK if it happens.

You guys in Texas are used to it though. We don't have air-conditioning in our homes as its not a regular enough occurrence to warrant it. We just bake. Apart from shops, businesses etc.

Where in Texas? My brother told me yesterday there were 41°C in Spring. For today they expect "only" 39°C.

If your in central Texas it will be Hot I live near the Space Center and its to be 101F today. I really feel for the people in England with no AC  time to get the fans out and try to stay cool.

Yep, that's what my daughter usually does in the summer anyway to be honest. She has a fan right by her bed. I seem to have a better tolerance though, so don't have a fan, the noise would keep me awake anyway. She'll certainly need it this week.

Central heating is a priority for us usually, not air conditioning.

Oh, not that far away then, just at the other side of Houston, a bit north of KIAH.

Ouch... how do you manage for higher temperatures then? I use sometimes the fan for drowning out the noise also.

It doesn't happen often enough to be an issue. Its sticky at night of course when its very hot, but its not like its often. Doesn't bother me that much.

My daughter hates the heat at night though, so does have a fan, even when its moderately warm.

If it hits 40 degrees in the UK it will be a new record though, not sure how I'd fair in that. I'm coastal though, in the Channel Islands, so cooler by the coast.

The current record UK temperature is 38.7C, so 41 would be a massive jump. I can't see it getting that high.

Oh, you poor babies.  I feel for you.  Here's what we have in store for Roswell for the next 10 days (and probably til the end of the month and all of August.  But it does cool down into the low 70s at night.  But it's a dry heat.  RH gets down into single digits when it gets hot in the afternoons.  That makes a big difference.  And being a desert rat, I'm used to it.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

We've already hit 101F about two weeks ago I think.  Lately its been around 90 or so.  Humidity is never less than 75% here I dont think.

I didn't grow up with AC.  I lived at a higher latitude than I do now.  We were one of the few without central air.  Fans were a must at night.  I still find it hard to sleep without the fan noise.  Its comforting.
