The 414 is a lovely addon.  Down low you'll cruise around 180 ktas, up in the lower FL's you'll be around 210-220 ktas.  It has a ton of switches and the panel is very IFR capable with many forms of navigation available.  It also supports stock GNS 530 (once WT updates this it'll work like an actual GNS), the PMS GTN and of course the TDS GTN 750Xi.

It's also pressurized, turbocharged and flight into known icing equipped (boots and windshield heat).

Do you know of an approximate release date for the WT GNS 530?

I used to fly the Seneca many years ago - and always wanted to try the 414 back then

Obviously - I have been flying the 2020 Seneca since inception - but this FSM 414 wins hands down

Yes - almost daily updates was wearying - but - it was a Beta - and almost worth it at the end

Annoyingly though - the latest change - post Beta - included a name change which stuffed up all the

various liveries on Flight .to - and since I had just started a video series of flights  using my favourite

livery - upgrading to Final (if ever) - as Bert calls it  - I will just have to wait until all liveries are updated -

or I finish my videos😂

It's a very simple fix.  All you need to do is go here:  D:\Your Community folder\flysimware-414-N140J\SimObjects\Airplanes\flysimware_C414_N140J\texture.N140J (this one is my paint)

And edit the texture.cfg to change the 414A to 414AW (below is end result):

[fltsim]
fallback.1=..\..\flysimware_Cessna_414AW\texture
fallback.2=..\..\flysimware_Cessna_414AW\texture.base

Then go back one folder to the main aircraft.cfg and do the same - find all instances of 414A and change to 414AW

[VARIATION]
base_container = "..\flysimware_Cessna_414AW"

I got it this week and was surprised by how good it is. It looks great, flies great, is very capable being a fast pressurized twin, and it’s hard not to love the cockpit with all its knobs and switches. I’ve been using it with the free PMS50.

Re: the TDS GTNXi: the AIRAC is outdated (2004), what sort of consequences does this have? Will there not be a lot of missing navdata (approaches etc)?

I think the TDS AIRAC is from 2021, not 2004, but I'm not sure because I use the Premium PMS50 GTN.

I got 2004 from their forums:

The AIRAC cycle shipped with the TDS GTNXi is currently 2004.”

How’s the premium PMS50?

I like it, and it's getting better with every new version.

You also have weather radar, metars and charts on the GTN screen for all the world with a Navigraph subscription. Also an experimental satellite map. Very cool.

Airac cycle "2004" means April 2020 😉

Oh dear 😂 I think I can live with that 🙂

Can you verify the Airac cycle from the TDS GTNXI when it powers up?

2004 is very old.

Funnily enough... there is no texture.base to be found for this airplane.. 😉

Thanks for all of the above - however I am not one capable of making such mods as those

also - I remember Mamo - the developer - stating on discord that all the manufacturers of the current crop of

liveries would have to redo all because of other factors - not least the being that the latest version has a new

3 D paint scheme - and only the original "legacy"  models had been redone to the new scheme

I am using a livery that was updated to work with version 2.7.3 and it's working fine with 2.8.1. Didn't notice any problem. Same for the interior mod I use.
