or did you mend the timing of the traffic movement?

ok, I understand now. No I just meant the traffic movement, not the models (which are of course not part of FSHud or PRO ATC X)

Did find it interesting how Pilot2ATC will tell me (in a GA plane) to hold short a little while longer then advise me about wake turbulence from an AIG plane that was just landing/taking off. Its not modeled in the sim as far as I know but it was cool having a non-robotic voice tell me to wait a bit haha.

Version 1.0.0.3 is out.  And the developer has been active on the forums answering questions.

Unfortunately not all, questions are treated quite selectively and I get the impression that MF2020 users are treated differently.
Myself, I can't get answers to questions about the option to read weather from AS when using historical (PATC SR gives different data than AS). The lack of a weather source option for those using historical is a big disadvantage if you are using P3D. Differences in pressure, wind or temperature data are significant. SR does not update views, despite checking the option to download from the simulator.
Likewise questions about preventing conflicts with AI (the program removes anything behind or in front of you; this happens during approach). You're flying behind an AI that's coming in for a landing and it's 5 miles ahead of you and you're maintaining separation - what SR does is it removes the client and clears the way for you. I have not received an answer to this question either.
In terms of support, nothing has changed.

Best regards

Is not addon specific. So: yes

Has been answered on FB and the forum :- The bottom line is there is no option to read AS weather either historical or live as there was in the 'X' version.

I also, along with other users dislike immensely this move by Pointsoft.

You have more or less answered your own question here, this has been observed and noted by quite a few users.

While it is far from desirable and is most certainly not true to life it does avoid conflicts, but in a 'sneaky' and bad way.

You sure about that?

My understanding is that if it's not listed as being compatible with a particular plane then you cannot have your F/O operating flaps, gear, lights,A/T etc.

So I think it is very much addon specific if you want help in the cockpit as in RW operations.

Ah yes, you are right. I never use this feature, so I haven't thought about that.

I thought about the aircraft profila you select when you load a flight. There are just many types listed, but not addon specific. But for gear, flaps etc. you might be right

Hi guys, wondering if the atc messaging box appears in VR?

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi

I'm a ProAtc big fan from the FSX but haven't invested in this (MSFS) so far.
What about support for the built in 787 (78XH),  FBW A320 and Aerosoft CRJ 900?

Works fine with the FBW A320N even though it isn't listed in the supported aircraft dialogue when you start it up.  Caveat: I don't use any of the co pilot functions.

I've never used the other aircraft you mentioned.

Pro ATC SR works with different kinds of aircraft. Sometimes it doesn't work at all, no matter what aircraft you use it for.

The achilles heel of Pro ATC SR is the non-existing support from the developer. Their forum is a wasteland, where the mod spends most of his time, it seems, yelling at folks to "post their real names" under their posts, as if posting your "real name" (why anyone would do this on a random internet forum is beyond me) is like rubbing Aladin's lamp: if you do it long enough, somehow, magically, the developer will appear.

After trying to use it so many times and ending up with frustration I came to the decision that it's not worth the money they are asking for. P2ATC is a better option and it at least works with all aircraft. Unfortunately there's not a user friendly solution that works among all ATC software and I hoped ProATC/SR would be just that but I was wrong. If anyone is planning to jump on the bus with this addon. My advice would be to stay away.

For me the same, I have send a support ticket to Pro Atc SR which was never answered also! Pilot2Atc it is for now but FSHud is working on a major update also at the moment.

Some of these comments make me shudder a bit regarding the customer service.

Pilot2ATC is a very feature-rich program and is continuously updated by a very active developer.  It does pretty much everything to the point where I don't even use LittleNapMap any longer because it does it all. LNM is excellent so I am keeping it. I like its Navigraph integration, VFR and IFR routing/charts on top of good communication between ATC etc. It does recognize other traffic but it does not communicate with them. For me, it doesn't make much of a difference as the ATC chatter in the background sort of drowns anything else out.

I did buy/download separate voices because default windows voices are kind of lame and it really improved the immersion.

Pilot2ATC (Dave) is simply amazing. I even had issues switching to Windows 11 (from 10) and there was a particular issue when upgrading. He helped via email and guided me through several things. This issue has nothing to do with his great program but instead it was a window sql sever issue.

TLDR: Pilot2ATC is amazing. Spend your money there and enjoy the ridiculous amount that it can do for the simulator.
