Fenix?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Anyone know what is going on with Fenix?  Been quiet for some time. I could really use the A320 with RR engines and winglets for both engine types.

I'm fairly certain they'll release the next patch soon after SU10 goes live.

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display

A patch might be released soon but I  seriously doubt if new engines and winglets will be in the patch.

Correct, nothing about "expanding" the product will be in it.

...because as Aamir is setting expectations in this reply, we're talking many months if not a year or two before things like IAE and sharklets come out. 5 months since release and they're using FSL's development time as a benchmark. Best settle in, because it's going to be a long, long, long wait (in which FSL will surely release their A320 family anyway).

Wasn't someone from FSL recently posting on this forum saying some pretty unkindly things about MSFS and the Fenix, or am I mistaken?

Fenix is a complex simulation of a A320 and has only been out for a few months. Give them time folks just like other developers out there that have been in flight sim for years "not saying names" that strive to bring the best product they can produce. I would not worry about them until about another 6 months or a year if they stay silent.

This is not a Latin VFR A319 or a Captain Sim product on Marketplace we are talking about here.

I seriously doubt anyone from FSL would stoop to that level. Maybe a strong advocate of their product definitely.

We need a remote Cdu for the Fenix

It was a RW pilot who later in the discussion turned out to be an FSL beta tester. He wasn't wrong in what he said but the tone was off.

I too think it'll be a long wait until IAE's (and sharklets). They're still busy with the next update and then want to write the custom engine model for the CFM variant while also correcting things such as fuel flow. That's likely another huge task and then doing the same for the IAE engines is going to take even more time. Sometimes I wish flight sim developers were big studios with a larger workforce (I'm aware that more people doesn't necessarily translate to higher development pace).

Yes, that is what I recalled, and I made a note to myself after reading his comments that I would not buy any of their products.

I remember now he was very critical of Fenix and never explained how FSL Airbus was to 1:1 to real life. Anyways how many RW A320 pilots that stream prefer to use FSL over Fenix?

Thanks guys, I was just wondering since it has been silent for a few months and I'm not on their discord. So many airlines use the IAE not having that option right now kinda sucks, ya I know patience.
