yes .. but ..

what about christmas then? let them pause right AFTER SU11, ok?

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

Well, but...

I have the solution now. It just occurred to me they should leave SU10 as an option for silly outsiders like me. After they release SU11 with all the outstanding (ahem) AI logic improvements.

This is AVSIM. Thats normal. 😉

Say Captn Piett, say wot is the deal with SU11 beta and FSLTL now, I haven't followed it enough: does FSLTL work flawless(er) with SU10? how do you have to setup MSFS: to work best with FSLTL:

1) no real world traffic?

2) multiplayer  OFF ?

everything off except injector and FSLTL tool?

and is FSLTL the reason you left SU11 beta?

@turbomax SU11 introduced with it some issues that have negatively affected the FSLTL injector. There’s very few (if any) approaches and landings. Here’s a recent post from one of the devs:

Quote

The main 2 issues raised with SU11 as regressions from SU10:

  • Approach always uses the first alphabetically ordered approach in the list for an airport and sends aircraft that are close to the airport back to the transition point.
  • Incorrrect approach altitudes lead to airport fly bys and increased go arounds

Both these issues are still present in the SU11 build. Neither have been confirmed for fix in the final release build, so we will just have to wait and see. But there has been no further communication from Asobo regarding them since I raised them in the dev support forum at the beginning of the beta.

From continued testing and attempts to work around the issues, have as yet to deliver any workaround because the internal AI system is making the decision to take the incorrect approach.

If these remain at go live of SU11 it will make landings in FSLTL rare, very unrealistic and essentially make the injector unworkable until Asobo delivers a fix or some magic workaround can be found.

After almost 2 years of dev effort on FSLTL it will be a sad day if the first SU after release puts that effort to waste.

I left the beta as I really enjoy FSLTL and got frustrated that it wasn’t working properly. And I got some pesky CTDs that I couldn’t troubleshoot. And I’m a bit sick of troubleshooting 🙂

If you’re in the beta I would suggest using the FSLTL models with Asobo’s live traffic. There are some positive changes with the AI logic so it’s not all bad.

I’m in the beta and there really is nothing to write home with regards to any updates with the AI logic -  don’t expect miracles people.

wasn't SU11 beta required for the new DX12 optimised memory management with NVidia driver 522.25 that improved performance over SU10?

I think so. That’s the way I understood it anyway.

so you value FSLTL higher than top performance? is that because the 4090 has enough power so you could afford to go back to the less performing SU10?

No. It's in SU10 already, the driver was all that was needed.

Yeah, they'd never delay SU11 since it's part of the 40th Anniversary release. Just like SU5 and X-Box being tied together, they were locked into a specific date by Marketing.

If SU10 hadn't been delayed, the SU11 testing probably would have been longer.

There were also those CTDs. SU10 is working really well on my rig. I don't have DLSS3 for now though.

So I think I just saw the longest line of airliners holding short of the active runways. This is from FT's KLAS (SU10):

With SU11 we probably won't have this as AI can spawn anywhere on the ground, not just at gates/stands. Hence, they won't all depart at the same time.

now we know the real reason why taxiways are up to 10.000 feet long. and wait until all of these have taken off. not FSLTL, but LETL Teruel Airport, Spain:

Teruel airport in the spanish desert was used by many european airlines for interim parking of their aircraft during the pandemic. meanwhile most have returned back to normal service.
