Almost all of us are cyborgs now, fillings in out teeth, contact lenses, artificial limbs etc. What do we do in 50 - 100 years time when our next door neighbors have superior limbs and eyes that can see 100 miles and through walls? Do we say no thanks, or do we opt for the upgrades? What about brain implants that improve our cognitive ability? And beyond the cyborg, what then? Is the stage of human evolution beyond that artificial intelligence? Would an advanced civilization that sent probes here, or visited in person, be a form of AI rather than organic?
