October 16, 20223 yr Recently, I have noticed (and I guess this started 'again' with SU10) that the terrain loads in tiles as you fly close to the ground. Below are 2 videos from another poster showing the issue. I have also posted the bug thread on the MS site. Has anyone else seen this or know of a solution? Note that turning off addons, reinstall, and clearing video cache do not help as others have reported on the thread that I started on the MS site. October 17, 20223 yr There are places in the game it happens no matter what even with addons turned off. For instance, I can name one place you can check it, Bancroft Airport in UTAH (u51), will do it with basically no addons installed except the World Updates. Also, just NE of KSLC around Layton (where the land narrows between the water and mtns), same thing, there is a dark tile error that changes based on LOD. It's basically unfixable in Dev mode other than replacing the aerial imagery, sometimes it can be muted a little. There are many other places in the game it will occur with no addons installed, but it's going to just be a few places overall, it's not really a huge issue as 98% of the world is fine. October 17, 20223 yr Are you running DX12? Others have noticed an issues with unusual tiles popping in and out at various airports while having DX12 turned on. October 17, 20223 yr Only DX 11 here, but regardless, it's inherent in the Asobo texturing, not related to DX. The DX 12 issue is a separate issue. Take off from any problem area and it doesn't matter what you run, you will see them. It also depends on the time of day if they are visible or not. It's actually been happening in some spots since DAY 1, has not changed around SLC, the problem has always existed. I have seen it consistently in some spots (like the water masks flying out of St Barts), but then "new' areas will pop up after a while, such as KTTN. I have flown in / out of KTTN airport dozens of times since Day 1 with no issues, but now when at low levels, the scenery does not just pop in tiles, it changes. Meaning, a house will refresh (or change) into land with trees. To me, the issue is getting worse.

Yah, in most places it has changed or gotten worse, in a few places it is about the same. Just depends I suppose.
