October 21, 20223 yr I need some help with this machine: How do I change the decimals on the ADF tuner? For example I want 462.5 to tune a NDB. I can get 462.0 but I can’t adjust the decimal. Is this a bug or I’m missing something? Is there a detailed guide on using the AP? The manual with the aircraft is not helpful in understanding how to use the different functions such as IAS, ALTSEL, CLIMB, DSC etc. I read that there might be a mod to remove the horrible, pixelated scuff marks on the side windows. Anyone able to share a link to it? Tx! Is this a bug or I’m missing something? I also have this question. I ask over at the official forums. EDIT: Got an answer: Quote Doesn’t work I think. Some devs implemented custom logic that tunes nearest decimal NDB if one is available. In real world needle would move regardless if it’s tuned to 462, 462.5 or 463. There is also a bind available that changes ADF frequency in 0.1 increments, could be used as a workaround. 55 minutes ago, RaptyrOne said: I read that there might be a mod to remove the horrible, pixelated scuff marks on the side windows. Anyone able to share a link to it? That's Jaydee's mod, which recently was updated to include the King Air. He's also got this mod with different panel and cabin colors and a mod to make the analog KA compatible with the excellent FTSIM+ sound package. October 21, 20223 yr Thanks @Cpt_Piett! Do you know if I can delete the folders in Jaydee's mod for all aircraft that I do not own without rebuilding the json file?. These will otherwise just be taking up space and possibly slowing sim loading time. Bonus - I see this fixes the FBW glass windows too it seems. Some of the Carenado aircraft XP-11 versions have had "Reality Enhancement Packs" (REPs) created for them that raise their systems standards to very high indeed. It would be nice to see something similar done in MSFS (also for the Aersosoft Twin Otter).

September 1, 20232 yr I'm still fairly new to the BS King Air, but I like it a lot. I have the GTXNi. Today I was flying into Santa Barbara California. Just east of the airport, there are high hills that make you stay at 4400 feet. When you're clear, you have to really drop down to the sea level airport. Since the A/P control panel is out of view, I have to look down there away from the flight instruments. Instead of selecting V/S and trying to get a good rate down, I thought it would be better to hit the Descend key. Well, that produced a descent rate of almost 4000 feet per minute! So steep that the voice warning was telling me to pull up. This can't be right. Why does it command such a steep descent? Is it adjustable? What's the best way to make a fast but reasonable descent in the King Air? I don't know of a way to put that A/P panel up where I can see it.

Top left of your dashboard are the AP Mode Annunciator Lights If you click the light panel it instantly changes into a complete replication of your AP flight controls allowing you to control the AP without taking your eyes of the horizon. -B

I didn't know I could do this! I just clicked on it and it worked as you said. Thanks so much, this will really help me in the future.

The DSC key will command the speed 10 knots below the current barberpole speed. Pressing the PITCH-SYNC button on the yoke will change that speed to the current speed. You were going too slow for it, so it dropped the nose in a hurry to hit a faster speed, thus the 4,000 fpm descent. Use V/S mode in that case and just click the arrow to command the angle you want. The GTN will tell you the fpm needed to make the restrictions on an approach. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
