Poor Performance with NVIDIA 4090

Did you already try running the monitor at 60hz just for process of elimination?

There have been some bugs with certain things at 144hz.

Why did you install SU 11 Beta if you know you were having issues the first time...
Use SU 10 for POE...

I had already tried with the stable version SU10 and DX11 that I had and since it gave me the performance problem, I read that with SU11 and DLSS3 things went very well. But clearly I have no effect. It behaves the same as with SU10. I'll try 60Hz and let you know the result.

Things use buffers in the VRAM on the GPU itself, that is why RAM doesn't make that much difference. It can in SOME games that are coded odd or using off-brand game engine. I'm being overly generous when I said ram might make up to a 25% difference in FPS, it could, but  unlikely in MSFS using a modern game engine. Even if it's 25%, that wouldn't explain his performance.

On my rig it is EASILY 25% frame difference between XMP and non-XMP within MSFS.

But yes, it does not totally explain his performance.  But I'd also say, if the mem wasn't running at full speed, there could be more going on that we don't know about as well.

That is abnormal, but I don't know. Any game programmer will tell you it doesn't help as much as people think it should, precisely because our MB RAM is not used for real-time rendering operations (it's sent to GPU), so it's just a shuffle buffer. In some cases, when things get really bogged down, that's when it might help more, but 25% would be extreme.

Be interested to see the CPU load per core, not just overall.

Also, have you tested with all gprahics settings set to low?

Guys, can't run 3dMark, just installing it freezes PC. It seems according to some forums, that it is normal when hitting with other software.

Here they recommended PassMark These the results

CPU

I am not an expert on the subject but surely you will have your comments on the results.

I want to share the images of how the Nvidia Control Panel configuration is and if I should make any changes there.

I confirm that my memory is now at 3600 mhz

Well the good news is that your GPU and CPU seems perfectly fine. 🙂
The culprit is somewhere else. Like in MSFS.

You tried totally cleaning your system with DDU driver cleaner before installing the Nvidia drivers?

Have you tried with all graphic settings maxed? That gpu is sending data too often to the cpu. Use that beast and give your cpu sometime to breathe.

You, as in the OP author, mentioned that your MSFS CPU utilization is at 10%.  For MSFS that 'rolled up' total CPU value can be very misleading.  MSFS is a multi-threaded app, and its main thread can be pegging 100% utilization while all the other threads are doing nearly nothing.  When the main thread is so pegged, MSFS is choking with too much to do and this causes stutters and low fps.  Displaying the Windows Task Manager's Performance tab can show the loading of your CPUs cores by right clicking in the Performance window and selecting 'Change graph to -> Logical Processors'.  This window's plots will show if your MSFS main thread is hitting 100% utilization when MSFS is running.  If it is, this may be the start of unraveling your problems; I'm sure there lots of good advice out there to help you rectify this.  Hope this sheds some light on your situation (but perhaps you already knew all this...oh well).

Yes. And it makes no difference either up or down. It does not matter everything to the maximum or everything to the minimum. FPS is maintained. Except LOD.

He said his FPS is basically stuck at the same rate no matter what, IMO there is missing information, something doesn't add up.

You did put the 4090 in the top SLI slot yes? You need to to get x16 mode, according to the mobo manual. Then again, other benchmarks seem fine... so probably not that.

Correct. Only when LOD or Objects are increased or decreased, the FPS can go up or down a bit (maybe 5 fps). Any other setting, it doesn't matter, FPS stays around 28 FPS. IMPORTANT: without any air traffic, it can be between 35 and 45 fps. I am using FSLTL.
