November 11, 20223 yr It was only ever advised by MS to empty the folder just in case there was a mod issue and they got a zendesk ticket demanding a refund because the update broke their game, so no you don't need to at all. Each to their own though, for other reasons I have an "Empty" preset in add-ons linker so one click and mine is empty. November 11, 20223 yr One of the myths that still seems to be widespread. The sim doesn't care a dime about the comm folder for updates as it doesn't touch it. But if you have something in your comm folder that doesn't run with the update you will have a problem with that one on your end. Usually if you run the open Beta before you will have all working mods anyway or deleted/moved prior cause you noticed already. Nonetheless the addon linker is quite cool to group things and switch them on off easily. Cheers T.

November 11, 20223 yr I never do anything with it but the only 2 things permanently in it are GSX (linked in via it's installer) and the Navigraph (same) stuff.
