Please note that despite what the doc is saying you don’t have to manually edit the definition files to reference extra files that you want to put in your simobject asset groups (the doc will be updated for official release). Required Disk Space Available/Space 1.20GB/228.15 While updating it shows 616.19mb I've never figured those numbers out, a couple SU11 updates ago, for me, those numbers were large gigabytes. It sounded like it was going to fill up the SSD I had MSFS on. Went ahead and crossed my fingers. Turns out, those numbers still made no sense. I have stopped taking too much notice of them, because even when they give the size, they can overwrite old data anyway, so probably don't take up too much extra space. It's the difference between compressed and uncompressed file sizes. The difference between people's numbers is probably the version of MSFS; standard, deluxe and premium deluxe.
November 29, 20223 yr It would still be interesting to know what the Australia update contained. ASOBO or MS RSVP Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

The number that matters is the net increase in GB in the sim resulting from the update. Most update files overwrite existing files, so that the net increase is typically only a few GB. This seems to cause a lot of confusion.
November 29, 20223 yr In cobalt's explanation, I'm assuming the 2nd number is actual increase in hard drive space, it is usually the smaller number. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's
