FSUIPC7 Startup

Recommended Posts

This used to automatically start when I started MSFS, but now I have to manually select it.  Anyone know how to make it automatic?

If you haven't already, you could try uninstalling and then reinstalling FSUIPC7.

Hmmmm. will the installer create an EXE.XML if it doesn't already exist?

Don't know. Just saying if it was me I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling, or maybe just try reinstalling first.  Probably be good to make a backup copy of the FSUIPC7.ini file first just in case.

Just FYI, I use the FSUIPC7 feature to put a shortcut on my desktop that I use to start MSFS. Works great. And in my FSUIPC7.ini I use the "Programs" feature to start other addons like SPAD.neXt and ForeFlightRelay.

[Programs]
Run1=CLOSE,"E:\XX - MSFS2020\My_MSFS_Stuff\Miller.MSFS..ForeFlightRelay\Miller.Msfs.ForeFlightRelay.exe"
Run2="E:\SPAD.neXt\SPAD.neXt\SPAD.neXt.exe"

I had the same issue and looking at the batch file I found that the line to start FSUIPC was commented out, don't know how this could happen. Removing the : from that line it worked again. You might also want to check if the path is correct and you can reduce that delay set in the file to start FSUIPC after MSFS has launched.

:: Variable to hold delay (in seconds) after MSFS has been started and before FSUIPC7 is started
set /a delay = 15

set "splash=%temp%\tmp.hta"
:: all lines beginning with min. 6 spaces are redirected into the HTA file
>"%splash%" (type "%~f0"|findstr /bc:"      ")
:: cmd.exe /C start mshta "%splash%"
start mshta "%splash%"

:: wait for MSFS to start (2mins)
::timeout /t %delay% /nobreak > NUL

:: start FSUIPC7
start "" "D:\Program Files\FSUIPC\FSUIPC7.exe"
