C152 improvement mod V2 - Wow!...

I have the pad, an Annov livery, and Ryan's TDS 750 mod installed (which is working perfectly).  The pad is just a white screen though, so something is clashing.

In my case, its New Light mod JPlogistics C152 that was this issue. Makes sense too as it must be pointing to version 1. Hopefully fixes it for you too. Now I can enjoy the fresh air...

Excellent find.  I wouldn't have thought of that.  Thanks!

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Great. Bugs out of the way, let's do some flying in our C152's. Never thought I'd say that about a 152. Haha.

Well,

tested it - I actually see only one C152 in my hangar? Wasn't it supposed to be a separate one frm the original?

Also I believe the flight dynamics should be exactly those of the default C152, or am I wrong?

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

so now that it has an autopilot i left the 152 unattended for a while and when coming back i noticed that the left fuel indicator was showing empty and the right one half full.

And here's me thinking that the 152 only has 1 tank. so why then 2 indicators?

Then when attempting to emergency land (engine was already down) i noticed that the indicators changed when banking the plane. As if the out of balance fuel was moving from the left to right and vice versa.

Not seen that before.

Also, it is a real struggle to get the engine started. I need to repeat clicking on the starter and recharge the battery.
In the 172 enhancement mod (from same author?) it will always work,

You should see multiple 152's in your hangar. This new one should be named something like JPlogistics Cessna 152.
Flight dynamics are different from the default, closer to the real world Cessna 152.

Outstanding work, I like the GTN option, this is one of my favorite aircrafts in the sim, but you have to check the wind before you choose to fly it, to much crosswind and it's a nightmare 😄

Make sure that when you unpack the file you put the folder "jplogistics-aircraft-c152" in your Community folder, not the folder "Cessna 152 2.0.0" itself.

The C152 has a fuel tank in each wing, so 2 seperate tanks. They work on gravity so there's no fuel pump and IIRC just a simple shutoff valve so I'd assume both tanks feed the engine simultaneously.
I don't know whether fuel can freely flow between the two tanks in a steep bank, it might be possible. If in level flight I can't imagine why one tank would indicate empty and the other full unless there's an issue.

I think it can.

I noticed that i had been cruising in a heavy crosswind so the autopilot had been applying quite some rudder and aileron input to compensate.

Maybe the propellor stopped due to gravity pulling all the fuel to one side therefore unable to feed the engine?

I still had 20% fuel in total if I remember correctly.

Don't forget to prime the engine and advance the throttle to about 1.000 rpm immediately after the engine has started.

No, that isn't unpacked properly then.  You will probably see the folder in your Community folder, but then it is another level deep so the sim isn't seeing it.
The manifest.json must be in the root of the JPL C152 folder as a guide.  I made this mistake on first unzipping it.

When properly unzipped, you will see three modified versions in your MSFS aircraft menu - standard, wheel fairings, and tail-dragger versions.

Hi Folks.

If I purchase the TDS 750 unit will it be compatible with this new 152 mod? I became slightly confused regarding Ryan's mod for the 750. Is that for the TDS 750? If so, where do I get Ryans mod?

Regards...Kenny.

If you have the TDS GTN then you can download and install this mod: https://flightsim.to/file/48858/tds-gtn-750xi-cockpit-integration-for-jpl-c152-v2 into your community folder for it to work with the C152 addon.

Yep.  With this mod, the GTN750 from TDS works perfectly on mine.  Thanks to Ryan of course.
