When I see that logic doesn't work any longer I just bale.  Thats how I roll.  What has nature / god have to do with any of this - absolutely nothing

Jack,   dont  do a re install or  re install  of  msfs  be  interesting  to see what the  actual issues  was and  the  cure  🙂

Hi Pete, that’s my plan.  I’m hoping to find out what’s causing it but if I can’t then I’ll learn how to reinstall Windows.

i  gave  you  a link  to reinstall  windows  that  wont  effect  your  addons  if  that link  doesnt  work  than  your  up  for  a full  re install of  windows.  The  link  that i sent  to  you  earlier  takes  about  30  minutes  to  run

That’s right, I remember that link Pete, thanks but I think since this PC was built in 2019 it might be time for a complete Windows overhaul.

It seems you don't simply 'bale' (or 'bail' as we spell it in, erm, English), but also feel the need to be unpleasant on your way out. Maybe try just quietly bailing in future.

Thanks, very true.  I’m mentally preparing to do this if I can’t pin it down but it will be interesting to see if I can.

Will do.  And test test test.  I’m hoping I can get it to work because this sim is the best I’ve ever seen since 1982.
