Jack - do you have this issue when running in OFFLINE mode?

sp

Dunno, never tried it.  I’ll have to figure out how to go offline, no idea how to,

Looking as I type this on my iPad.  No entries of this in the Process tab.

I assume Steam is running while searching for VRserver.exe ? No need to reply.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

OK - because this is a biggy.  In data you can go OFFLINE.  This will prevent MSFS from grabbing realtime weather AI and BING tiles.  Major bottlenecks IMO.

Hi sp. please tell me the exact method of doing this.  Is this in Steam or the sim?

Like I said in Sim data options.  This setting has caused me the most travail in MSFS

Load a flghtt with it turned off. After a flight loads turn on AI traffic, Live weather and Bing tiles in turn.

Bing tiles will have the most impact so I use the Google maps tool and use the AGIS option to quickly load tiles.

I have a question.

Am I the only one here at AVSIM with this problem?

I did a search on the MSFS official site and saw many many others with this same exact issue.

Why is it just me?  I mean, what is different about my setup

I have a feeling it's Asobo from what others have posted at MSFS.

All I know is I'm getting sick of this, I'm tired, been working this for two days and nights now, I'm irritated and fed up.

I use a Mac for everything.  The PC is only for the simulator.  I had FSX, P3D, and XP but they're all gone now.

And after fixing this last July with the overlay process I thought it was the best thing ever, I spent hours and hours flying and enjoying myself and suddenly, out of nowhere it's back.

Now I'm getting close to getting rid of it and I have some very high end hardware too.  Ruddo pedals, Yoko yoke, and VirtualFly's quad throttle, as well as a brand new Thrustmaster Warthog used only for one day.

I'm loathe to reinstall windows and everything again only to have it happen again.

Ok, I'll turn it off but I never ever use google, it's personal.  And I have absolutely no idea what AGIS is.  Sorry, I'm simply not at your level sp.

Also, the FlyTampa issue is bugging the heck out of me.

I had KBOS and YSSY running perfectly and now they don't even show up in the sim.

I have uninstalled them in Orbx Direct, reinstalled them and still not seen in Content Manager or the sim.

Yet, all the other airports I bought from Direct are there and fine.

The Community folder even shows FlyTampa's YSSY and KBOS.  How frustrating is this? 🤬

SP, I can’t do this.

I can turn off Online Functionality in the DATA tab but then the others are Greyed out and I have no way to turn just Bing or Live Weather on, it’s impossible.

Results.  With Online Functionality turn OFF I still get the 1/2 second pause precisely at 60 second intervals.

My wife would be unsettled if she suddenly saw the PC crash on the ground directly below me as I’m on the second floor so I ain’t gonna do it.  Yet.

Best to assume that it is a hardware problem at this point.  One of the fun ones to figure out.  😉

Try the float test....drop your PC into a full bath.

If it doesn't float you need a new PC.

I'll get right on that.
