Did you also disable it under HID devices in the device manager? You have to do usb devices AND HID devices too. Do them both separately.

Yes sir, both per the screenshot someone posted above.  Did this yesterday.

Regardless - it could still be a USB issue.  These are common with MSFS and other games I guess.

So how would you proceed?  Should I remove the motherboard and de-solder all USB connections?  Not joking.

Why would a USB issue come up exactly every 60 seconds?

Agreed.

If you decided to get a new PC, do yourself a favor and get a CLX. Lifetime free support, and their tech support is top notch. I installed an M2 drive a couple of months ago, couldn't get it going and the tech support remoted into my out of warranty PC, spent about 20 minutes and fixed it. You can't beat a company like that.   https://www.clxgaming.com/gaming-pc

Thanks Bob.  I’m saving this link.  Appreciate it.

You tell me.  My USB issues / pauses occur every 60 seconds of inactivity on my trackball.

Actually the connection is USB / BlueTooth.

I may have fixed this however with a Windows Setup setting.  Trying to find it now.

I'll probably go CLX with my next build.

Try setting your performance plan to Ultimate Performance in Control Panel.

Had a look, but this is disk transfer activity... The suspect was a process that hogs the CPU... suggest looking for that first.

Thanks Bert.  This is the only report that tool produces.  I’m in the arduous process of learning ProcMon.  I’ll let you know when I’m ready as you instructed in a previous post.

I reckon that unless anyone comes across the definite fix, we should pause giving Jack advice and let him go through all the suggestions given to him so far.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

How about solving the problem ASAP after 22 pages of muck?

Jack's already said he's in the process of learning Proc Mon, something he considers arduous. On top of that, he's been given a lot of suggestions and advice, and is maybe feeling a little overwhelmed by it all. Surely a pause might give him a chance to take a breath, and go back over all that's been posted. While I'm no expert, I have a feeling that some background process is responsible for the problem, so maybe another, much slower look at all the ideas might suddenly reveal a clue.

Sky Pilot, I really have to ask.  Why is it so important to you that there are 22 pages?  And if you consider it muck why do you keep posting here?  Are you a major shareholder in AVSIM?  I’m doing what I feel is correct in my troubleshooting as well as many others.  I’m going to do things in my life my way so can we please come to terms and learn to accept this?

Have a nice evening.

Hi Paul.  This is exactly what I did this morning.  I created a document of all the suggestions and made sure I performed all of them.  All that remains is using ProcMon.  I’m not in a rush anymore either and I’m of the opinion of many here, it would be better to discover what’s causing this if it’s possible.  Thanks.
