After testing performance on my PC  (see hardware specs in signature below), I can happily report that KJFK is very usable now.

TLOD at 180, DX11, Fenix A320, SamScene3D NYC on, PG off, about 45 AI aircraft, iniBuild's GSE and clutter settings on, the rest off, I was able to maintain 30 FPS locked when taxiing around. Take-off from 31L and landing 31R (towards NYC), usually held 30, but occasionally dropped as low as 25 FPS.

With no AI traffic, easily held 30 FPS locked. With all iniBuilds config settings turned on, I could see a momentary drop to 27 FPS when panning on ground. No problem on final.

Well I have to completely disagree, my specs are below, also running, Sam Scene, Manhattan, FS Traffic, PMDG 737-800 TLOD at 150, and still a Stutter fill mess.  Mentioned before have many other airport from developers, such as, KLAX, KSEA, CYUL, KIAD, KDEN KSLC,KMEM, KIAD, KORD, KELP, KEWR,KMCO CYVR, CYCC, KDTW, KSYR, just to name a few, and all of them work and perform beautifully, except one other, KPHX.

I have no problems doing ILS Approaches, on 31R, 22R,4L, but when u approach or get into some of terminals, near TWA, or AA, and look out with external view, plane goes into studder mode, or slide show.

I find I need to keep TLOD below 100 to have any chance of stutter free flying at JFK and the New York area generally with a detailed airliner.

this is really frustrating,  like mentioned before I also purchased KEWR from inibuilds, and performance is fine, tried lowering TLOD to 100 still same problem, when I am in CP  PMDG 737, or fly the maddog,, its fine, but as soon as u go in external view, with either plane, stutters begin, especially near TWA area, AA area   Yes, I have original KJFK deleted,

Using  the inibuilds manager, I even uninatalled it first. and then installed it.  This is really frustrating.  This has been going on since day one when I bought KJFK.  Like mentioned before have over 30 airports from other developers, Flightbeam, FS Dreamteam, Latin VFR,and so on and so on, and perfomance is beautiful from all of them.  The only lame duck is KJFK. and by the way, bought KPSP, from inibuilds, and performance and scenery is fantastic.

Just finished another flight from CYUL, to KJFK,  Fly the Maddpg, ILS 31L, when I was taxing to the Gate near the tower, and TWA area, once again same result, slideshow, and stutter city. and I lowered TLOD 100 and LOD as well,  Really, turns you off.  Everywhere else I fly, smooth performance. Personally, I really feel this airport is not optimized enough.

Are you perhaps running out of VRAM on your GPU? What resolution are you using?

Download MSI Afterburner and turn on the OSD for GPU usage.

Turn down texture quality Ultra --> High or High --> Medium in MSFS settings.

Turn off landside vehicles in iniManager?

Updated the GSX profile?

Have you installed other mods in the New York area? Bridges? Boats? etc. Turn off road and boat traffic?

More drastically, perhaps empty all other add-ons from your Community folder  and run KJFK by itself?

I'm just not seeing the same stutter issues as you anywhere in the updated scenery.

This airport updated

iniBuilds New York John F. Kennedy v1.2.0 is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator! 🏙️

This update addresses performance issues and adds the option to completely disable detailed interiors and instead, replace these with parallax windows 🪟 We’ve also adjusted LOD values, material resolutions, reduced the material count and removed some duplicate elements. Download and install the update via the iniManager!

I’d like to also see: We fixed the horrendous runway bumps so that A300 flyers arriving from Dubai won’t have to wreck their aircraft after touchdown and their best landing ever.

This would possible miss with this update ( but not real shure ) but i would want to say that inibuilds is on the right track to improve their airport scenerys really drastically and very well mainly in terms of performance.
I find it very commendable that this path is being taken and it must also be mentioned that a lot of updates are being worked on, which I also find very commendable - I don't think many developers do it that way !

I like what inibuilds is doing there..

cheers 😉

Don’t get me wrong - iniBuild’s sceneries are mostly top notch, and they do update their stuff regularly. That’s why it’s so hard to fathom why they haven’t been able to get rid of the bumps. It was discussed on their forums only a few days ago - and when was the scenery released?

I am waiting for updates to the runway centreline markings at EGHI Southampton and LGHI Chios Omiros.

The update 1.2 about 6 to 8h ago.

Updatelog 1.2

v1.2.0
T4, T8 & Satellite, Tower and TWA hotel:
- Models split into smaller sections
- LOD values adjusted as necessary
- Overall material resolution and count reduction
- Further implementation of instancing
- Added option for parallax when detailed interiors not in use
- Fixed multiple model issues (stretched UVs, gaps in mesh, missing objects)
- Added emissive boost to floodlights
- Implemented smaller LOD radius

Interiors:
- Reduced amount of people models by approximately 50%
- Separated mesh to ensure none have greater than 65,000 vertices, improving portability on low end devices.
- Reduced material count and replaced materials with vertex colour
- Use of instancing on seats and gates
- Adjusted LOD values

Other:
-All jetways now have LODs
- Some default assets removed (superfluous)
- Several duplicate elements removed
- Removed hidden interior details from AA Cargo
- ILS freqs now visible on VFR map
- LODs added to all major buildings within the airport boundary

Seems they doeing at the moment more for performance stuff but shure all the other known things should be fixed aswell !

cheers 😉

For the record, there is no way that I would ever exchange detailed interiors for a parallax option.

I'm having the same problem on the intersection 04L/31L. PG is off. With PG on it's gone, but what is also gone is my framerate. I really think a big developer like iniBuilds should be able to fix this in 6 months. On one of their biggest / best selling sceneries. A bit disappointed here.

Me yesterday:

Just had a horrendous landing in a fully loaded A300, courtesy of one of these bumps. The bird did a massive bounce, then stalled shortly after. I had PG on, but IIRC I got the MSFS “not enough bandwidth for PG” message.

unfortunately, the update 1.2  does not correct the stairs on the track crossings, scenery still unusable !
Or try to take off and land without crossing the other runways, ... not easy at JFK 🤪 !
