March 29, 20233 yr If their LAX brings even a 4080 to it's knees, can't imagine what this is going to do... / CPU: Intel i7-9700K @4.9 / RAM: 32GB G.Skill 3200 / GPU: RTX 4080 16GB / Freight Pilot

It's not the 40 series card that is giving you a hard time with LAX, it's your CPU holding your 4080 back. It cant keep up with the video cards demands. I run a 40 series, before on a 10900K and now a new build and LAX was smooth for me. Have you tried adjusting the airport settings? Like turning off some of the ground clutter, switching to a lower texture res? Edited March 29, 20233 yr by Tuskin38

Like turning off some of the ground clutter, switching to a lower texture res? I tried switching to lower texture res and that did work, however it looked awful (and I'm only running at 2K). Also switched off things like parking lots and that didn't make a difference. It's the only airport that has a massive hit on my performance. / CPU: Intel i7-9700K @4.9 / RAM: 32GB G.Skill 3200 / GPU: RTX 4080 16GB / Freight Pilot

It’s taxing but still works on a 13900k/4090 even in VR for me (with motion smoothing). One thing to double check is to make sure you’ve disabled Asobo’s LAX because otherwise it still gets processed even though it’s covered up by iniBuild’s replacement.
March 29, 20233 yr In my mind, I've already bought this. Regards, Max (YSSY) i7-12700K | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 | Gigabyte RTX4090 24Gb | Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 | Corsair HX1200 PSU
March 29, 20233 yr It looks like the airport is ready. Hope we see him in a few days. The trailer is amazing. It remains to check the performance. This area, even with the default airport, is very congested.
