IniBuilds KJFK - Released

Featured Replies

How is performance? Im at the point where I might actually UNINSTALL their KLAX. Its the only scenery that just gives my sim random pauses, stutters, freezes. The FPS is actually good on my system, its just these annoying stutters that really makes me not enjoy flying into KLAX. It makes me hesitant to buy their JFK now

KJFK is worse on performance than KLAX for me. KLAX for me was pretty bad at the start but since they offered the SD texture option then it massively improved the performance for me.

However I haven't yet tried it without removing SamScene's NYC which I think it's quite demanding in itself.

correct.  Any handcrafted asobo scenery must be disabled if using payware due to conflicts.  It's easy to reverse this change later if desired.  But it probably won't be.

How to uninstall Asobo JFK ?

To be honest,  I'm starting to get a bit irritated that the sim still lacks a control tower view.

tempting to buy, why spend all this money and time on the interiors of airports, seems like the new thing for developers!!!!  Performance for me is the key!!!  Any other stories?

You can still shut off all those Gimmicks..

And it is V 1.0 we will probably get updates to cure some things .

cheers 😉

I for one quite like properly modelled interiors and animated passengers if they’re visible from the gate. Take the glassy terminmal 1 at EBBR for instance, without the interior it would feel much less realistic. Of course performance is very important as well, so inibuilds’ approach of giving us the option to disable stuff is a great solution if you ask me.

do the settings toggles work in real time or does the flight have to be re-loaded to see the effect?

Go to profile/content manager.  Search for jfk.  You should see asobo jfk.  Uninstall it.  Then install the inibuilds one.

No, you have to restart the sim for the changes to apply.

Are you using PG in Los Angeles? There's 10 miles of PG loading in every direction when you're landing in LA, I feel this is more what causes the stutters. Same with NYC.

i'm the same - the interiors are very impressive, but massive overkill that i will only look at once, if even that

it must be delaying the release of airports, pyreegue is showing some amazing screenshots of east midlands interior, but i honestly think most customers would rather it was released quicker, easier on frames, with less interior modelling beyond what you see when you pull up

East Mids interiors took me 9 days to make and performance loss was at 0,3-0,5 FPS. Don’t over complicate it and enjoy the view :)
