When high fidelity airctaft like PMDG aircraft are released for XBox, this will open another signifcant market for 3rd party aircraff devs. PMDG, iFly, Majestic, etc, can benefit from XBox sales and ir will make developing aircraft for MSFS even more lucrative.

The allure and incentive for aircraft developers to jump onto the MSFS bandwagon will be even stronger, especially for holdout aircraft developers that have not done so.

I’ve recently been enjoying Cowansims’ helicopters in MSFS2020, using just the standard Xbox X controller with the helicopter controller mappings.

it can be done! 🙂

I look forward to PMDG joining the platform.

The recently released ATR in Marketplace is also a welcome addition.

My only challenge will be re-buying these ambitious, serious sims, now that I’m retired; but it will happen, over time.

You're seriously comparing PMDG, the maker of gamey toy pixel "planes" to Ferrari? Now, that is a comparison worthy of an eye roll. I do agree with your other comments.

I'm not really sure how to explain this to you in a way that you will understand, but within the context of flight simulation PMDG is the halo company, just as within the context of the car scene Ferrari is up there amongst the most desirable cars on the planet. True, someone who is interested in and buys Ferraris probably isn't buying PMDG products because they can buy a real jet, but on the other hand when adjusted for scale, PMDG is the Ferrari of the flight sim world.

I suppose if I were making a true-to-life comparison I'd say PMDG is more akin to Koenigsegg because unlike Ferrari, their products are universally excellent and measurably superior to almost everything else on the market. 😉

I can't believe you have to explain your analogy haha. I would agree for the most part here. I guess the other user is not understanding your analogy... Their products are certainly at the top, however. There are one of the few central apps I check daily for updates for their DC6 and 737 series. Love their planes and appreciate their hard work with all them.

I would say they certainly set some high standards for flight sim to put it simply.

I did not see an update however it is not like the Pmdg 737 is a totally unflyable aircraft without the update………….

But Ferrari, Tesla, heck even a Mitsubishi have an automobile version of an EFB.

PMDG…. nope.

They do make a nice aircraft i’m not denying that, but it does have it’s faults.

Tell us about an aircraft that has no faults?

How about sticking to the magenta line on the first tight turn after departure, or any 90 degree turn for that matter, always overshoots.

That issue has been there in all Flightsim versions.

Again i’m not going to sit here and slag them off because they do make a fine aircraft, but to say it has no faults is wrong.

You didn't answer the question I asked you.

Good to see you around Bob --- still helping I see, well yah I'm sure Bob knows given he was a commercial pilot. LOL, but it's all funny after you leave the forum for about 3 months and come back and realize how sillily nuanced these discussions become...

There are quirks in real auto-pilot systems, but atm I don't recall every single quirk I watched on Youtube, but there were quite a few. So the main issue is just the quirks don't really match the realworld quirks, but not so much that no quirks exist at all...

Have a quirky good day.

Of course every aircraft has faults.

But I’m not the one claiming PMDG is the Halo company when it comes to flight simulation and their aircraft are Ferrari’s.

There not, they have their faults just like any other company/aircraft.

I don’t know why people get so defensive when it comes to them.

I’ll leave it at that before this heads south.

I am actually anticipating this specific update very much as it might fix the banking issues of the LNAV (i posted here not long ago…)

Right, so after the update it made the LNAV even worst IMO... i think the issue is, its starting the turns way too late, so each turn in cruise using maximum bank angle and not the standard 15 degrees. sad 😞
