I hope its a DLC and a rebrand. Not gonna buy all addons again whatever. FS2020 was announced with a 10 years journey. I will throw this at Jorgs face if he lied

That’s what I’m worried about… if we have to purchase all of our addons again I’m not going to be happy… plus it would split the freeware devs like OIC traffic

I bet this will be like the 40th anniversary edition. Just a commemorative name. And I’m 100% sure the changes to the base sim will be free (like 3d trees, new weather system, seasons etc). The “career mode” I also bet it will be free. The planes (at least some) will probably be paid dlcs.

This is my biggest fear!

So many questions!

Is this just a big update to the base sim we have now?

Will 3rd party devs need to update existing addons to work?

Is it a complete new sim?

Of course it will be, this is just part of the continual update process. It's hilarious people think this will be an entirely new release or something.

My numero uno as well...  Dev time is already slow especially for marketplace updates etc and just general addon (aircraft) development.  Hopefully it's all backwards compatible
