Stupid question, but what is "DDU" and how do you use it?

Thanks,

I rolled back to my prior version (531.29) and although I have only done one flight, I have had zero stutters since the rollback.

I also went back to 531.29, no stutters at all. For me this is the best driver for MSFS.

A couple of weeks I upgraded to whatever the latest was at that time and for the first time in nearly two years experienced a CTD, then another, then another.  I am driving an RTX 4080.  I stepped back to 531.29.0.  Tonight after returning from several days at FS Expo in Houston, I started MSFS just to get the automatic AAUI(2) update.  While MSFS was booting I received a notification my driver is now inadequate for MSFS, or somesutch comment, and pointing out the minimum version is currently 535.79.  Has no one else running 531.29.0 received that notification?

I don't get that notification because I'm using the Stripr addon.

My first notification came today after the AAUI 2 update installed, so my belief is to pay attention to it.

Yes - I think it's mentioned in threads elsewhere too.  It appears that this warning (it is only advisory) has been incorporated as part of the latest update (ie the one introduced in the last week).

I can sort of see why they would want to encourage everyone to keep the drivers up to date and then at least nVidia and themselves are, between them, generally both tackling the same things from feedback of users at the same state of play.

But it is only advisory and there are, and no doubt will continue to be, times when some of us need to go back to an earlier driver that we know does perform OK on our particular system while they sort the new one that maybe doesn't.

Hey Frank,

I returned from a 3 week vacation and got the same error when I fired up the sim with 531.29, I just ignored it and loaded up the sim without issues.

I have since installed the latest drivers, So far completed around 5 flights without issues but then again I did not have any problems with 531.29

Lucky you!

No driver updates for me anymore, with the earlier version no problems now, fingers crossed!

Ok! $#^&^$^%$#^&   Upgraded today to 536.23 and 90% into a 3 hour flight another CTD.  Falling back again.

Interesting that the driver which supposed to fix a lot for MSFS has so many problems for some of us.

The old saying in the flightsim community is: If it isn't broken then don't fix it.

But allways tempting a new driver with a lot of promises!
That is already part of the hobby many years, trying this, tweaking that.

Sometimes really annoying but also nice to finetune your sim!
You never hit the sweet spot until you tried!

I posted the day I read  the notice from Asobo about upgrading the driver to the latest one, and wasn't about to follow that advice, because I I have a driver that works I don't mess with it. Been my rule for years and years of simming. . I immediately got dissed by some of the "PC experts" on this forum, telling me that I didn't know what I was talking about, etc, etc. He who laughs last, laughs best.
